Well after trying the Jenner for the first time I knew I'd found a mech that I'd come to love. So far I only have the JR7-F and the JR7-D but I love them both, I try to keep my armour as high as possible without gimping my damage or mobility.

I tend to run 2 JJs on both builds as I've found these are good enough to jump any ledges I need to. I can even jump over an enemy mech blocking my path if necessary,

Anyway here they are, I'd appreciate any constructive criticism or advice. I'm still new so they may not be as optimal as they could be.

Look good to me. Maybe 2 streaks instead of SRM4/2 on the D? Matter of preference, really.

You're pretty close. Regarding the D: One thing I would change though is pull one ton of ammo from a leg and put it in your head. Also, if you do decide to run streaks, make sure you have a BAP as well, which unfortunately means sacrificing in other areas (either weapons or engine). If you need to pull some armor from somewhere pull it from your head. To that end, lower your head armor by 6 and maximize the armor on your legs and arms.

On the F, same armor comment as the D. On lights your legs are your life. You never want to lower the armor by even one point on those. Also, because the Jenner's weapons are in its arms, you want to maximize the armor there if you can. Generally the only way a light will get consistently head-shotted is if you stand still for long periods of time. So, lower the armor in the head first on lights. Otherwise your F build looks good.

That is how I run my -D... I use BAP, 215 of armor, 3 med lasers and 2 Streaks. With that build you can easily do more than 500+ Damage per match and lights will run away from you

Keep in mind that you really need BAP when using streaks. Otherwise yep, matter of preference.
