Quickdraw Appears Larger Than Cataphract In Every Way

Quickdraw has, a fatter torso, larger arms, and thicker legs, and is taller
than our only 70 tonner
It makes me so sad, I am starting to enjoy the quickdraw, but in that Dragon, hard mode, kind of way
is the 60ton bracket supposed to be oversized underdog hardmode?
if it was properly scaled this could have been a competitive mech

and now SRMs suck as well....
whhhhyyy?
you are right though, I never noticed that
does PGI consider missile systems to take up that much more space?
really though the quickdraw looks 75 tons

mech sizing is all sorts of messed up

and now there's proof, thanks to Ghogiel

the current size difference between the stalker and catapult only accounts for a ~5 ton difference.

so then the only thing that matters should be gameplay.
and mechs being larger than they should be gives them an unreasonable disadvantage

i think the figure is saying that the stalker is too small. well more specifically that the size difference between the two is too small... not necessarily saying that the catapult is too big

But resizing is a must. Something that is a tad more uniform across Mech tonnage types.

But, sizing does affect balance, and in the case with some Mechs it affects them negatively. The Awesome Mech, for example, is the GO TO problem child of the Assault Mechs that is incredibly wide, with large hitboxes (while the original 'Awesome' was a lot thinner). Or all the 50 ton Mediums not being uniform in height, the shortness/too skinny Stalker, etc.

Could you provide a scale based on cockpit size of the mech? That would make the Atlas huge or scale everything else down in size

They brought it upon themselves because they're lazy. They must have re-used the Highlander's frame and changed it up a bit and hey here is the Quickland... I mean the Quickdraw.

also I don;t buy volume=/= mass
when every mech is loaded with the same types of armor\weapons\internal structure it should be fairly constant
a 60 ton mech can carry less armor and firepower
its only advantage SHOULD be a smaller profile and faster speed
the quickdraw's massive profile kind of negates its speed advantage

This is about game play. Unlike human style FPS, we aren't all the same size, and we can't all bring the same guns.
Size and speed matter. If my Centurion has to bring noticeably less guns than a heavy, while the heavy is capable of moving at a fairly similar speed, the only thing the Centurion has left is size.
