Only having two game modes is getting tiresome, even with new maps and variants of said maps, two game modes will not cut it.
That said, there are only so many unique game modes that fit into MW:O due to the lack of respawn, NPCs, and current mechanic limitations, all while avoiding an over complicated game mode or games that null the presence of a class of mech.
I believe ~2 more game mode(s) could be added that fit the requirements like an Offense vs Defense Conquest.
However there could be a problem or three.
Though not require, the theoretically most balanced way to determine a winning team in this or similar game modes would be to have two (2) rounds, or #r=2n (though likely to cause fatigue the higher the number.) While I imagine a round would only be 10min max, making the maximum length 20 minutes, is the community willing to play through multiple matches of the same game type despite changing between Offense and Defense, even if it was one round each?
I know that many out there would complain that such a game mode would be like 'Being forced to play the same game on the same map twice, guaranteed.'
Another issue is with the players who dislike the idea of 'respawn' in MW:O, complaining that 'It take days to repair a mech, not a 5 second countdown!' Would they have an issue with both sides getting full ream and repairs for a second round on opposite sides?
No doubt that this would upset some players, and possibly make others leave the game, but would there be enough support for an additional game mode(s) that use this mechanic as to make the game better in the long run?
Feel free to discuss your ideas for multi-round game modes here, but keep in mind the focus of this post is to determine if the community is willing to battle at least twice for similar rewards as they get now for fighting only once?
Will Players Tolerate: Multiple Rounds?

The only problem I see with this is making premades even more hated, because now they get to dominate a team not once, but twice. And there are a lot of A-holes out there that would just drag it out to **** the other team off even more. better matching to get a premade group on each side if there is one would solve that.

I play matches in MW:LL that last 60 minutes.
I also play simulated WW2 Flight Sim campaign battles that last over 90 minutes to simulate the real stress and fatigue that pilots do.
The hardcore simulation fans would have no problem playing a Mech Warrior match that lasts more than 30 minutes, because we are that hardcore and prefer that over 15 minute Call of MechDuty Matches.

I agree, a game mode where one team is on a base and forced to defend it and the other team is forced to assault it and capture it (i.e capture the flag) would be an awesome game mode. (a Basecap that no one complains about lol) Then the teams switch roles and do it again.

And their answer to this is what when they "respawn" in the same mech 3 minutes later on a different map? I see this as non sequitur. If they complained about this, then they can pay for refit and repair, and not use that particular mech for three days IRL since we are on a one to one timeline.
Personally, its about the game. Its the fight, so game modes are fun regardless of reset time. Another game mode would be "capture the intel." mechs have to enter a base, grab the "intel" (flag) and run it back to their base. A whole different ball game than on CallofDuty since you don't respawn.

Remove one cap for assault mode, add an actual base with turrets, multiple rounds...
Hey! Now we've got a great game mode called MechWarrior 4 Objective game modes.

The players? I wouldn't ask them. They are dumb.

Or just choose 2 mechs to play with in the lobby area before the match. Defend with your Victor or w/e then you use your second mech w/e it is (hunchie/raven/atlas) to assault.
