how did the other team have 5 mechs left at the end? The STK and I would not have left our base if we'd known the other team had 10 mechs!

Not quite following you... but once a disconnected mech gets blown up its status then goes to Dead.

Also there may have been replication in the scoreboard, that can accommodate 12 players.

Yes, the disco mechs probably were waiting for someone to blow them up = 2 of the 3 kills. I think.
