Lower Heat Scale Timer

Be it latency or something server side, chain firing 2 groups of 2 ppcs at the same time will cause a penalty equal to a 4 PPC alpha. According to gameplay update on Jun 11, chain fire time is 0.5secs, which makes it impossible that any more than 2 PPCs are shot during a 0.5sec time frame.
I suggest we lower the Heat Scale Timer to 0.4 or 0.3 secs to account for any possible delays.
This is direct conflict with the gameplay update on Jun 11th which states that using Chain Fire will not trigger the penalty as is seen in the first shooting sequence of the video.

It would be an actual "skill" to master.

Then why tell everyone to use Chain Fire, when apparently it does not work.
What you think is skill or not has no bearing on this topic.

Funny... I don't recall them ever saying to use chain fire and fire through the chain as fast as you can...
They only said that to avoid the heat penalty, you should chain fire instead of alpha firing and as long as you wait at least 0.5 seconds between shots, you would incur no penalty.

That isn't what I did. I pressed and held as chain fire is supposed to work. Paul said he did not want to punish people who used chain fire, which clearly chain firing does not work.
I know that is what they said, which is the entire purpose of this thread. Chain firing still causes penalty assessment.

If you have some latency issues, then you can learn to fire them a little longer. I always ping to their servers at around 39-42ms. To me it's fine. Lots of people I see ping under 100ms. I am sure they are fine. If you have some latency issues then the chain fire rate shouldn't be lowered to compensate you or others. They need to learn to fire a little longer.

I average around 65-70ms latency. Even if latency is an issue, it is certainly something that should have been addressed when setting the penalty.

Then what FatBaby said should be the fix, raise it to 0.6. In no way should we be making anything faster to make pin point accuracy better. Sorry.

Nope, like I said originally, 0.5 is fine as is.
yet, it doesn't work. So either fix chain fire or lower the heat cap timer. Raising the chain fire time of .5 secs nerfs the AC/2. So the better idea is to lower the heat cap timer.
or just fix what ever is causing chain fire to set off the penalty.

Maybe they need to fix it so it requires a unique button click to fire each weapon.
Then truly skilled pilots will be able to fire weapons closer to the 0.5 sec interval to avoid a heat penalty, while less skilled pilots may fire too soon or wait longer than needed.

so chain fire is OP?

They should make a QQ support of somesort in UI 2.0.
People can send their QQ's directly from the client and i dont need to read this nonsence.
