I took maybe a 2 week break from playing mwo. When I came back I could not even play it. The FPS dropped to 8-9 and I have no idea why.

I did have to patch once logging for the first time. Was there some graphical update I'm not aware of? I can't say with certainty what my fps was before but it was a non-issue so I never looked. I would have to assume it was at least over 30 fps. I've been playing since the start and never had an issue until now.

I tried reducing resolution and dropping everything to low but nothing helps. And yes I have updated drivers for my AMD HD5870 1Gb.

any solutions out there?

Have you tried the tool provided here?. The problem may stem from needing to delete the shader cache due to graphical update since you last played.
