How'd you get screwed when you didn't lose a single dime?

I own four seismics - one for each of my ready mechs and I approve of the changes.
Lights can spot but still not sneak up on you. It's still useful, particularly in maps with obstacles everywhere like river city and terra therma. I still use it to effectively cut off lights.

i found it plenty useful when i only had 200m on the basic one. That on its own is a pretty big advantage, 400m was absolutely rediculous. You could see any brawler mech well before it got within brawling range which was just silly.

Now that i know what the balanced version is, going to buy it for all my active mechs. It's still a massive advantage, and may see further adjustments.

Imo even 250m is to big of a range when it functions while moving. Make it only work while standing still with the current decreased range. 300m is way to big of an area for this to work.

It is basically a wall hack that limits flanking and other similar tactics for brawlers.

Give us rear facing cameras or 3rd person views then. It becomes more useful for the slower brawling mechs. There are other ways to limit this device then just nerf its range.

Or open up the terrain, give us a map with no place to hide or put objectives in an open area. There are tons of ways to handle this.

I posted this in another forum topic and was directed here by the moderator. It's along the same line as some of the other posts but im going to post it anyway. Seismic needed a nerf but they took it to far. For thoes of us who can't afford to throw money at this game and earned all of the GXP to get the advanced seismic sensor, we just got screwed. I would have got the standard sensor had I known they were going nerf the advanced this much. I get it's in beta but come on. You can say it should or shouldn't exist, but it does and it costs alot to get. Thats what made it a game changer for the people who earned it. Just my two cents and thats really all its worth.

Agreed seismic sensor should be removed and all refunded. ;)

People who think this nerf was too much need to pull their heads out of the sand. I'm normally not so blunt and I'm sorry but it really was too powerful and that's all there is to it. It's still a very powerful and useful module.

I'm sorry you were given something that made the game easy for you and now the game is more challenging again but whatever. I know it's hard to let something like that go but get over it.

Not worth the time and effort I spent farming both the Cbills and GXP for. A ridiculous nerf that wasn't needed to begin with, the cap accelerator would be more useful and I plan on buying that and just capping from here on out.

I'm sorry you had to play a game that was too hard for you and now the game is easier again but whatever. I know it's hard to get frustrated like that when you don't have the same perks as everyone else but get over it.

I had the advanced version the day it came out. All 27 of my 'mechs have it. It didn't make the game hard for me. It made it easy. If I wanted an easy game I'd play Animal Crossing.

Take your siesmic sensror out. Challenge mode achieved. Problem solved. Nobody forced you to use it or purchase 27 of them (lolwut?). Other people want to use it. Deal with it.

I've not bought this module yet, however I did upgrade it to the maximum level. If they are going to lower it's stats they should lower the EXP cost to reflect this change. And If they do they should also retroactively return the difference in EXP. I did spend MC to transfer XP to GXP in order to upgrade to the maximum level, as did many others I'm sure.

Bad nerf....how about DELETE that module from the game?
I will not ask for a refund or smthing bcuz I bought it for farmed MC and I do not care about c-bills but that module is still OP.Not any ambush/flank can happen if some1 use that module...and EVERYONE use it including me...

To clarify my request, most online exp based games recalculate the exp cost of a skill when altering its effects and either return the remainder of exp to the original exp pool or refund the entire cost and require the player to learn the skill again. This is based on my experiences playing many online games. Its common practice and in no way an unreasonable request. I do not expect an MC or cash refund of any kind. However if PGI believes that the new values truly reflect the original cost and don't feel the need to change it then that's fine. I am, in no way, good with numbers, so I have only stated my opinion in this case.

I agree that it was OP originally, but now they nerfed it too much. 180m for basic? A light mech with ECM will give itself away at the same range. At 180m you probably know about the heavy/assault bearing down on you already. The advanced could use just a little love up to 300m. It would feel a bit more like an "advanced" module. If used properly, as it was intended, it can be useful whether you have it or not. I understand it being called a "wall hack", but come on it works both ways. I don't know how many times I have been able to pull some enemy units off the front line because they detected my movements with their sensors. Also keep in mind for those of you saying that it is an unfair module, if your target is engaged in battle they probably are not watching their radar for blips. They are trying to stay alive and take down the target in front of them. That is when you come in and take them out. I guess seismic is just like everything else in this game though. A bunch of people don't understand it's value, it's true potential, or how to use/manipulate it, so they call a witch hunt on it How many times have we seen this done to various weapons and mechs? How many more items will become just a useless piece of equipment? When will people realize that it is usually up to them to figure out how to use something effectively and that it is not the Devs making the game unbalanced?

250 m is quite fine, 400 m was way to much.
Seismic is fine now.
