Its a horrid map. Its to big, the heat penalty stinks and the map all around is just bad. Reduce the size by at least 20%, reduce the heat penalty, give it some more lighting. Ugh just take it away.

lmao! Your fighting in a F...ing volcano for god sake. It's supposed to be HOT and you are supposed to have major heat issues lol. And we need more large maps. 12 vs 12 is going to call for more maps of larger sizes. This isn't call of duty where every match needs to be up in your face fighting. Once we can vote on maps to fight on, than vote to skip it or don't play on it at all. Most of us enjoy the larger maps that actually allow for some maneuvering and thought into what your going to do, rather than just run right for the enemy and fight within a few seconds.

This map could be a nice map if the lava streams were actual hazzards. Your mech should really heat up if you come in contact with them.

The Map looks cool but there are valley sections all over the area.. Its fun but because of the mountain you have to have modules in. Its hard to get line of site on a guy. You walk for ever before you even see any one. Its a huge map just could be smaller for Assault mode. If your and Assault mech or Heavy you better hope you move fast. Its really a Cap Map not an Assault map. As for the Lava some areas hurt you others don't most areas you can walk over (like a Stream size) You can walk in the center pit one in a few area but beware you can sink and your heat will go thru the roof. You feel like a Human walking in the Grand canyon. Like I said they need a Smaller version for a Assault Mode. Light will rule this map all the way.

Few places to walk, and if you start on the wrong end of the bottleneck, you really can't win.

If pugging, just open a vein now and cut to the chase.

Map is great fun and awesome if you have JJ's.
There are many flanking route's open if you have them and i've seen Jenners and spiders (with the occasional Victor battle) have amazing airborne fights as they battled to protect the slower mechs from being shot in the back.
Theres room for improvement BUT still good times to be had there no doubt about it.

I was disappointed by how little it mattered if we stepped in the lava. Completely turned my childhood upside down.

It's a freaking volcanic valley and this guy wants it to be less hot, wow what a dumbass. You, random internet man who start this thread won the prize to the ***** of the day. Congratulations.

The only bad things i see in this map is the little damage the lava does to a mech and I've found some strange "invisible walls" in the acces bridges that go to that huge platform construction in the center.
Overall I like the map so far.

I actually love this map, it fits more with the battlefields I've read about in Mech Warrior lore. Just be happy Thunder Rift isn't coming as a map.. or is it. We need more big maps, we also need a game mode that is just timed with no bases.

Map is awesome. Incredibly fun with a JJ mech but I saw a teammate follow me up a twisting lava flow fairly easily. The center is awesome, you WILL overheat and die if you stay in the lava beneath. Another friendly reporting spiking up to 95% heat in a few seconds before jump jetting to safety.

I'm loving the map. Looks so awesome, plays nicely too actually. Only played it twice, the main battle happened in around the same general area, but two totally different fights. Completely awesome. Completely awesome. I'd say it again.... but it's complete. And awesome.

Thanks PGI for this!!!
