Hi there, fellows!

To explain the title, the shock was this game, and the system was... is... my slightly outdated laptop. Apparently, minimum system requirements mean "it's gonna run, but it won't be pretty", since, though I can run the game, my FPS is... well... Slideshow, mostly.

Specs:
CPU: Intel T4400 (2.2Ghz dual-core, 800 Mhz FSB)
GPU: Mobility Radeon HD 4570 512 MB dedicated VRAM
RAM: 4 GB DDR3 1066 Mhz (I shoved in a second 2Gig module in addition to the default)

Problem is, even with the latest Catalyst driver, my FPS barely exceeds 15 - on the Training Ground, even when I set everything ingame to minimal graphics-wise.

Is there any way, any little tweak, DirectX or driver magic, to improve my FPS even if the game's gonna look like MW4? I'm really a MW/BT enthusiast and I don't wanna skip this game :)

The HD 4570 512 MB slows you down, adding more RAM won't help. Consider the HD4870 one for desktop can't run Crysis very well. This game use Crysis's engine, so it is the graphic card that limits you.

I actually had some success playing at 8-12 FpS on my Laptop. I could not go back to that now that I have seen real FpS.

Once you see 60 fps, you don't go back to 8 fps XD. My laptop has Nvidia GTS 360m. It is kinda playable. You might consider a new laptop with GTX 560m or higher for enjoyable gameplay :)

Both your CPU and your GPU are below min. reqs. There is no computer wizardry to fix this.

You can try to lower all the setting in the Catalyst control center, like texture, and other thing I forgot, but they should be in the 3D section. I don't think that will help much, but worth trying :)

Is there any way to force DirectX 9 rendering on the game, like it was possible on Crysis and Crysis 2?

The dual-core isn't helping either. I boosted from average 25 to 70+ FPS by going from a 3-core processor to a 6-core processor in my rig, overall clockspeed boost not that high. Dual-core machines just don't like the Crysis engine.

Mind the fact I don't have enough money to make it rain and still buy myself a Ferrari after. I have to do with what I have, which I know is little.

Your CPU FSB is 800MHz, yet your memory is 1066MHz, your max will be 800MHz only. The graphic is simply at its limit for this game, since it is on the lower end of the HD4000 series.

The game is currently running in DX9.

If you want to, you can edit user.cfg file to make the game look like N64 game. There's not much else for you to do. Send me an instant message we can talk on skype if you got it and i can guide ya through it. You might be able to get a few more FPS out of it.

As any good doctor trying to save a life would say... "CLEAR!!!!!"
