You will use notepad.exe for this whole thing. CASE SENSITIVE!!!!

for windows 7 this link opens notepad: file:///%windir%\system32\notepad.exe

1. Open up MechWarriorOnlineInstaller.exe

2. Go through the steps and when you reach patch, dont press it, exit the patcher.

3. Go to C:\YOURDIRECTORY\Piranha Games\MechWarrior Online\Bin32

4. Save-as in notepad.exe the following files.

(file-save as-"filename") - use the following filenames below. Some of them might exist, then please skip them.

bdiff_utils.dll
CryRenderD3D9.dll
CryRenderD3D11.dll
fmod_event.dll
fmod_event_net.dll
fmodex.dll
frontend_version.dll
game_version.dll
nvDXTLibrary.dll
Patcher_version.dll
PatchTarget.dll
Txaa.win32.dll

here is a simple .bat file you can use to make your life easier:

echo text > bdiff_utils.dll
echo text > CryRenderD3D9.dll
echo text > CryRenderD3D11.dll
echo text > fmod_event.dll
echo text > fmod_event_net.dll
echo text > fmodex.dll
echo text > frontend_version.dll
echo text > game_version.dll
echo text > nvDXTLibrary.dll
echo text > Patcher_version.dll
echo text > PatchTarget.dll
echo text > Txaa.win32.dll

5. Go to C:\YOURDIRECTORY\Piranha Games\MechWarrior Online\Engine

Save the following in there if its not there:

Engine.pak
Shaders.pak

6. Download repairtool http://mwomercs.com/...public-release/

7. put repair tool in your C:\YOURDIRECTORY\Piranha Games\MechWarrior Online

8. run it and fix it.

Cuts down 5hrs into 30mins for me, for all those people clamoring about chunked downloads, this does the same thing. Oh and PGI i think i solved your downloader issue. This is easy to script into a new downloader.

and it works!

It's not working for me.
Instead of the installing taking more time now the fixing takes more time. And also the fixing stops at random intervals.
I actually don't know what might be the problem though.

Actually it might be that I didn't put the repair tool in
C:/MYDIRECTORY/Piranha Games/Mechwarrior Online
But instead in:
C:/MYDIRECTORY/Piranha Games/Mechwarrior Online/Bin32

You see previously from the devs I heard it wasn't a good idea to put the repair tools anywhere else. Other than the Bin32 folder.
