Hi there brave Mechwarriors!
If i have a gauss-weapon and a case in my right torso, does the case benefit me if the gauss-weapon explodes?
Thanks in advance.

Also: I have some more questions about certain details of the game, and i really don`t want to bother you with all of them. Is there some kind of manual available? Or perhaps a learnig video or an in game tutorial? I would appreciate any help.
Again: Thanks in advance.
Good luck on the battlefield.

Not sure how it works in this game, as I don't usually sport Gauss rifles, but in TT, yes, CASE protects against gauss explosions.
Also: No better place to ask all your questions. You won't be bothering the community as long as you just make some effort to search the forum archives for answers before you start posting.

Pretty sure the answer is yes to this one.
Gauss explosions work same way ammo explosions do. The entire side torso will be lost but the damage will not transfer.
For extra credit: case will never help you with anything if you run an xp engine.

The guass rifle explosion will be contained.
C.A.S.E works in one scenario only.
If you have Ammo(except gauss rounds) or a Gauss rifle in a side torso, AND you have a standard engine, then C.A.S.E is a good idea.
If you don't meet those two requirements, then it is wasted tonnage.
Im sure there are plenty of threads with all the answers you need if you want to search, but feel free to send me a PM with any questions. Koniving is also all over the New Player section, and has a wealth of well laid out information and examples. I'm sure he wouldn't mind a PM either.

No, there really isn't. The forums are the best place to find detailed information. Things are still in a constant state of change so it would be a waste of time to have a full manual. Tutuorials are supposed to be on the way. There are some videos on this site covering the basics though.

Yes your explosion will be reduced, and of course gauss ammo doesn't explode but it's good to store it with the rifle to absorb shots for the rifle. And no, there's no official manual, tutorial, or really anything, and we've been sayin very vehemently that this game needs it since, oh, 13 months ago...

Yes, if you're using a standard engine and not an XL.

CASE will also protect from explosions in the arms (and even legs I think).
