I noticed a Rotation imbalance!
watch youre mapstats and post ist or something like this!

Alpine Peak and Turmaline Desert time is insane. Canynon Network is runing fast to get position in top 5 played games!

It took 4 days for me to see the new caustic map. Its the lowest on rotation. But I have the same three as you do for most played.

Yeah, it doesn't seem to be truly random what map you get.
On my statistics, I've dropped in Tourmaline Desert 53 times.
My second most played map, Forest Colony Snow, with 28matches.
I've had Tourmaline twice as much as almost every other map in the game.
this doesn't seem random, I'm sick of this map, but it really feels like it's all I get.
Not saying to remove the map, or anything like that, but I would really appreciate if someone looked into how truly random the matchmaker is, maybe have it look at previous matches for the player, and have it less likely to drop on a map that the player or group has played recently.

Forest Colony 6 2 4 0.50 00:23:10 Frozen City 6 3 3 1.00 00:29:44 Caustic Valley 5 0 5 0.00 00:25:30 River City 5 4 1 4.00 00:32:16 Forest Colony Snow 6 2 4 0.50 00:27:11 Frozen City Night 5 3 2 1.50 00:23:10 River City Night 4 1 3 0.33 00:13:19 Alpine Peaks 18 7 11 0.64 01:51:02 Tourmaline Desert 25 14 11 1.27 02:25:04

Here are my stats. Quite limited in terms of raw numbers but fairly telling all the same.

Sort it out please PGI.

Edit: Sorry about the parsing. Not really my area of expertise but it doesn't take too much reading to see where the lion's share of the drops lie.

P.S A quick lesson in parsing might be handy for future reference.. :D

Alpine, Tourmaline, and Canyons have increased drop-chance for playtesting purposes. So, working as intended, I believe!

Hmm...Alpine and Tourmaline are my toprunners. Tourmaline 312, Alpine 266. All other maps are in about 200 matches played. Caustic Valley only 163. So even if there is a higher chance to drop at those bigger maps, caustic is imbalanced in being played compared to the rest. Canyon is new, so i am fine with dropping there constantly.

Tourmaline Desert is my top map as well... dropping about 18% of the time based on current stats. I drop on it almost 2:1 for any other map I drop on... Its not a bad map, unless you play it so often... I would like to see it reduced a bit.

I would like to see an option to play every map once before rotation starts over.

Play testing be damned, I dont like Canyon map, and am rather tired of seeing it. Also of late, i keep getting repeats, like 4 times in a row sometimes of various maps. While I dont mind playing a different map besides freegin tourmaline and canyon, I do not want to play it 4 times in a row.

I wonder sometimes if people still hax their files to remove maps and PGI's claims of "tools to find out" are a bunch of empty scare-words. Seems like tourmaline testing should be well passed. I could see alpine to see how the movment stuff affects it as players griped a lot about it(hint, it didnt work, you need to move home base locations) But I wonder if people remove the map files and artificially bump up tourmaline so they can snipe across the map from behind rocks with their ppc stalkers.

Same here, allow a maximum of ONE MONTH of increase traffic on the new map, NO MORE!

FIX IT PGI!

Forest Colony 244 / 18:45:17
River City 247 / 19:01:44
Frozen City 249 / 20:26:12
Alpine Peaks 383 / 1 day 17:12:39
Tourmaline Desert 428 / 1 day 20:02:04
Canyon Network 214 / 19:30:02

Could you understand that im like "blurgh not again Tourmaline/Alpine" every time one of these maps comes up?

I am so sick of tourmaline and canyon ... really just give us a map selector so we can choose which to drop on.

Tourmaline and canyon are nearly twice any other map I've played.

Tourmaline - 283, Canyon - 206, Apline - 184. Side note, I must really like Forest Colony or something because in 170 matches I have a 1.98 w/l. All the other maps range from 1.03 - 1.33 w/l lol

Disconnecting from a match because you don't like the map and leaving your team with a useless inert mech is not, has never been, and will never be an effective method to push for being allowed to choose our maps. Choosing our maps would be great. Ditching a match because you don't like the map is a douche move. Period.

Meh. I see people that disconnect before the startup sequence get replaced with a new person all the time. Figure 1 in 10 games is an actual evenly matched game that doesn't end in an 8 to 0 blowout that wouldn't be different whether I played or not. I'm not going to waste 10min of my time on Alpine just to make 25k on cap loss.
