Hello all,

I've just started this game a day ago and after couple matches and brief study, I think I found a game I'd love for its action + strategy + team play + potential deep game knowledge.

Yet after matching more videos and reading in the forum. I'm rather overwhelmed by the volume of information. I love to study it all but I'm afraid that I'd do a lot of wrong investment with my cadet bonus or simply mess up something that would be hard to recover.

I've tried couple times the TS channel for new players and have no luck getting help yet.

So I wonder if there's any MW:O master would like to take an apprentice who will be very involved in this game?

Thanks,
DaPlot

Find yourself a good team to play with. There are many out there that are recruiting and will help you if your willing to learn. Most of them will use teamspeak and will be organized.

There are no masters of this game and the people who say they are probably formed their own opinions of themselves and care more about their own personal stats then they do their teammates.

I don't know if there is anyone looking for a apprentice-But I suggest just finding some buddies and people to play with. Especially ones who have been here awhile. A lot of people on these forums are really nice and open player's! If you ever want someone to drop with (When I am on), let me know! If I am not busy, I will definitely team up with you.

Maybe some people will see this thread and reply to it with some information/help you may need. Or someone looking for a new member in their unit/guild/group!

May the force be with you!

Seriously, the 10th Solaris Rangers (USA/North America unit) is always looking for motivated new players interested in becoming better mechwarriors. We have dedicated officers willing to train and work with you no matter what level you are. Apply here.

You don't need to play with a team. just play with the trial mechs untill you can afford something that you think suits you.

MW:O is infinitely better when played with a team.

Luna Wolves are always recruiting http://lunawolves.org/.

Only thing I will add to what has been said...

Do not worry about what other people say - find a way to play that you enjoy and enjoy the game.

You do not worry about needing to fight the best unless you are one of the best - so feel free to ignore the metagame at any point.

If you are looking for ppl to group up with Creddit has a ts server. Just join and find a pug channel with 3 or less:
creddit-mercs.teamspeak3.com
We are happy to help new ppl, we even have a company dedicated to it, I believe.

My Advice, Pick a Unit,Merc Corp, or Clan to play with.

There are a few good picks in this thread alone and many units are always looking for new guys to play with.

Happy unit hunting!

The best is for you to join a good community / group. This forum isn't bad, but it's better on TS. I can recommend Skye-Rangers.net for being good with new and casual players, and it's not the only one. It is one of the bigger groups out there, so you're guaranteed company on TeamSpeak.
