thats 3 things of blasphemy in 1 statement.
If the Fed Suns are so illiterate, then why are they the most technologically advanced realm in the inner sphere. the only thing the cappies had on the feds was their use of electronic countermeasure systems

Well you see, almost all of the wealth of the Federated Suns is directly tied into funding the Military Industrial Complex. While House Davion pours extraordinary amounts of C-Bills into NAIS and other manufacturing/researcher groups, those funds come directly from the place which other states would normally use to build schools, public hospitals and other necessary civilian infrastructure. Which is why someone lucky enough to live on New Avalon is rich and has a Hovercar, while the dirt farmer less then a jump away is lucky to own a donkey and still have half his teeth. Naturally, as he lives in a society that does not believe in material wealth or runaway MIC complexes, Captain Picard does not approve.

Wow, I have to admit when Caleb Davion violently raped Danai-Centrella Liao I always assumed he was a bad guy... mind officially blown.

Because the scientists were imported or were educated on one of the few non-crapsack core worlds like New Avalon

But seriously, how does it feel to have the modern face of your nation be a schizophrenic rapist who literally cannot even pilot a mech? I mean, at least he wasn't as bad as Victor who single handedly destroyed all the careful work of Hanse and drove the Fedsuns face first into the ground and killed millions to billions over a succession spat with his sister, but you know, kids will be kids.

Funny you should mention that, considering Katherine, while not perhaps the greatest leader, was probably the one child of Hanse and Melissa that actually had the political know how to stop the deathspiral of either state. Of course, After not concerning himself with the wellbeing of Fedcom citizens for his entire tenure as First Prince, the second he is out of the job it's time to be a "People's Champion." (funny story, the devastation caused by the FedCom civil war would lead to the dissolution of the second Star League which was the direct cause of the Jihad. So in practical terms that is Victors fault too.)
EDIT: Also, Katherine seperating the Fedcom was probably the smartest thing she could do. The states didn't exist as full allies or partners, but in fact the Lyrans had simply attained the status of extra cannon fodder for the AFFS with the bonus of a huge piggybank to be earmarked for the MIC (instead of real Lyran concerns that were the things actaully keeping them wealthy.)
Also funny how you place the blame on Sun-Tzu for the Capellan/St. Ives war. Despite the fact that by the time the war occurred, popular support in the St. Ives Compact was behind re-integration to the Capellan Confederation, but Candace was so attached to her role as an "Independent Ruler" (That means Davion Puppet, by the way) that she made sure her military was radicalized and in and of themselves anti-Capellan. So what could have been a bloodless process based on a populist movement instead became a meatgrinder, costing all those lives in the name of "St. Ives Independence" (In reality, so Candace could keep her Duchal Title with her Davion BFF's, who cares about all those stinky peasants?)

Whoa, wait. Someone else who sees the FedCom civil war as a cause of the Jihad? And a Cappie at that too. Maybe you all aren't that bad.
I have to agree though. House Davion is the little pet faction of the universe and have that paragon of ideals/good guy image (even if it is forced at times). I would like to thank them however for at least giving the LAAF a taste of having a better military organization. Too bad that collapsed after Katrina pulled out of the alliance, and we went back to having more social-generals.

On the other hand, you guys get Thomas Hogarth, so social generals can't be ALL bad.
