I really like the look of it, I was wondering if there are any mechs that are within the timeline Alex could work his magic on.

you can find something similar in a lot of the light mechs right now. Jenner, raven for example.

but if you want horizontal articulate arms, the cataphract is somewhat similar in that regard

though once clans hit we get puma/adder and kit fox/uller

both are similar in design to cougar

Well, most of the mechs right now are walking bricks or giant blobs...

But if you are talking about chicken walkers with arms... Uhh... there's the Cataphract.

If you're talking about LIGHT chicken walkers with arms... nope.

The adder isn't similar in design.. a cougar is a derivative of the adder.

I remember my 3 ER-large laser Cougar in mw4, hit passive radar, and watch all the mechs run around going crazy looking for me as I core their mechs running and jumping from one hill to the next ;)

a derivative is not similar in design ? so are they vastly different in design ?

The Cougar is one of my FAVORITE mechs in BT. I first played it in Mechcommander and I really liked it.

Hopefully it will be in the game eventually, but like most said, it is still fairly far off in the timeline.

Actually, I mostly like mechs that look like an airplane fuselage with reverse jointed legs (Catapult, Madcat, Cougar, Raven, etc...)
