Of course you'd have people whining about it; perhaps the same people who drop on Terra Therma with their 48 km/h Stalker energy boat.

You have two different : "Community Warfare"s.
1. Ladder League
2. Planetary League
(Note, these can be played by anyone, at any time)
Ladder League is your Solaris, you have rankings, cool tournaments Its 3rd Person, anything goes. You can accumulate cash, make a name for yourself. You can be a "3rd person guy" if you want and do well. Your mech is available every match. Every kill, every win counts towards the big ladder, team ladders, etc, you have seasons etc, much like many pvp games. You can have scheduled matches as well, as long as there is some sort of fix for "Let us win this time, you win next time" stuff. This is a great place to make money if you did poorly in the...
Planetary League: FFP, and a horde of other rules that apply for those seeking their simulator, and more over, a massive, unit based game.
- You, or your unit will buy dropships/jumpships. How big, means how many you can go from your "Home planet" or "faction base"
- How many mechs you own matters.
- The farther you are from your faction base, the longer your repairs are. (Maximum 48 hours on total destruction for 100+ Light years)
- ........... A. PGI, this is how you make us buy mass mechs and modules and have it mean something
- If you run out of your own mechs, you can still play, but you are relegated to "House mechs" (IE Stock fodder)
- If you are defending in your own territory, your Mechs' repair is maybe 15 minutes.
- Repair costs also matter on the size of your Dropship, and how far out you are. Yes you can lose money. Maybe we can add repair bays MFB and other wonderful things to the game.
- Say, 3 maps Goal for Defender is to destroy the Dropship, Goal for attacker is recon the base.
- Conquest "Sigma/Theta/Kappa" type points can be dropship areas. You can only drop there. Lose them all, no drops come in
DZ: Forest Colony
Attackers Drop, win>
Next Map> Alpine
Defenders win>
Back to Forest Colony
Defenders destroy Dropship, Mechs are sent home.
Or
DZ: Forest Colony
Attackers Drop, win>
Next Map> Alpine
Attackers win>
On to River city
Attackers Recon the base> Sets up bonuses for next planetary assault.
That kind of stuff. Totally separate from the cool ladder league, where we all just blow each other up. Learn in the minors, head to the big show.
This sounds pretty awesome. My only complaint is; why aren't you under the FRR banner with a name like that!?

I think you may be confused a little bit; there is eventually* going to be a 1PV only queue (tentatively called "Hardcore" mode). Nerfing 3PV would make introducing it completely pointless. The whole reason they implemented the stupid thing in the first place was because mouth breathers at E3 couldn't figure out how to move around in 1PV. It's basically training wheels for noobs.
*Just wish they wouldn't have disabled 1PV only in this last patch. Not happy about having to play with 3PV enabled until hardcore comes out. ( )

Yeah, the logistics for ejecting would need to be tweaked based on actual in-game tests on the feasibility of such a system.

Third person view, mmm, why, whats it for, waste of coding. Enough is enough keep this game how you first thought it out. Stop adding stuff that you said would never be added, MWO as you first said will be a Mech Simulation Shooter and so far you have done a grand job albeit with us moaning about a few things and now so close to open release you start wasting coding time by adding "third person" when i feel and many others that this time should be spent polishing and fixing the game for the release next month.

Yep. Looks like they decided to axe the "hardcore" mode idea altogether.

Players that are learning would presumably want to play in easy mode, not hardcore mode.
...Since R&R would only be enabled in hardcore mode, players could play in easy mode whenever they need to save up money.

Though not sure about repair/rearm and eject...maybe if done correctly. But I really like the idea of easy being the "casual mode" and hardcore being for more dedicated players.

I voted NO for hardcore mode and also NO for the ejecting idea.
Since an explaination is required, only in voting no and not in voting yes, something i found kinda funny... I will explain why no
Hardcore mode:
This whole mess is about 3PV and 1PV.By implementing the 3PV game mode you change the whole game in the eyes of the hardcore funs. The game has stopped being a mech sim.
Now having in mind 3PV will stay. Some people find it hard to control a mech in 1PV and thats a fact.So 3PV is in the game in order for novice pilots to learn the game.
Hardcore mode now as it is presented, extra c-bills, extra experience or nothing, really has nothing to do with 3PV or 1PV.Someone just thought of a mode where people can play only 1PV in order for the game to be more mech sim.In order to make it more attractive for the rest, it will be a little harder with bigger gain and bigger loses.
Well NO i dont like the idea or the concept of it, even if i like the 1PV over the 3PV gaming.
My proposition on the subject.
Since when you object and you dont propose a solution you are not making any progress on the matter.
If you really need to implement hardcore mode do it with style.3PV mechs have a droid over their heads.Imagine a war in a system where solar power knocked out all AI equipement and pilots need to operate the mech manually(so 3PV with the droid is disabled). Those fields (same maps by the way) are the hardcore war fields where only 1PV is enabled.
Now you can name it whatever you like as to what kind of war it will be.For example "Andromenda Incident".
In order to make it more intresting players will have to assign mechs on the "Andromeda incident" (the hardcore mode with the 1PV only).Only assigned mechs can get part in the war.Since the assinged mechs take part in a war far away from players base a seperate c-bill will be in order for repairs. The GXP and the mech experience are unaffected.(wont be seperate)
A player can transfer an amount of his c-bills to the hardcore mode war for repairs. When those run out he can not take part in the war anymore until reiforcements will arrive. So once per week players can reassign mechs on the war hardcore mode and refill the c-bill amount on the mode.
Now this will mean that a c-bill loss is expected since you can run out of c-bills in the "Andromeda Incident".That is not very attractive so in order to make it, I propose a boost in GXP and mech exp. Also a league is in order with prices like cockpit items on weekly base.Top 10 or something to get a reward.
This is my proposition for hardcore mode.
Now on ejecting.
No i dont want the game that realistic!
Next you will propose to get a gun too and fight as FPS the mechs with guns.No I dont need that in the game.

I don't understand what you're trying to say with this sentence. I'll assume it's a language barrier.
The whole purpose of the suggestion in the OP is to offer a solution to ensure that both queues will be appealing and distinct from each other.

You cant make them both same attractive as i see it.I proposed a mode with seperate c-bill with assigned mechs per week.A mode only in 1PV.The hardcore part will be u cant play is as much as the normal one if u are not good.
Then again if u just like a mode for 1PV and another for 3PV/1PV, why this whole mess of hardcore casual.Just make 2 seperate ones with all its cons and minus.Seems to me you are falling down and trying to land softly.
If the community wants 1PV over 3PV or the other way around make 2 modes and time will tell. You are not loosing anything bottom line.Players that wanted 1PV will play as usual and the new will either test 3PV or 1PV as they were doing up until now.
I have a feeling we are not talking about casual/hardcore but 3PV/1PV and 1PV.If thats the case my suggestion again make 2 seperate and get done with it.
If you want hardcore / casual think something else apart from the damn views.

I would love seeing MW:O becomes a bit like MW:LL in this case I loved running around in a battle armor after my mech was destroyed and just making my enemys go crazy cause they can´t hit me this may be the cause, why im a scout in this game

i always bought the flamer for my battle armor because it was cheap and seamed to sow far more confusion than any other weapon on the field when on a tiny battle armor.
