For the MWO Developers
I have heard the horrors of the 3rd person view being abused in other Mechwarrior Games (living legends).

If I may make suggestions.

• Make it so the player base has to choose between 1st person & 3rd person mode,
  
• They Can always play both modes
  
• Keep the 2 views in separate modes... Like Assault & Conquest.
  
• So you either play 3rd person Or 1st person.

I have no problem with 3rd person view & I am entertaining the notion.
But also feel it will be abused, & turn this great Simulator into an Arcade game with simulator attributes.

I do like the eye candy involved with 3rd person view, & miss it.

• So how many modes are you thinking of introducing? e,g community warfare... Capture the flag,.. free for all (Solaris V)...

There are going to be two modes of play: Standard and Hardcore.

In Standard mode, you will be able to use 1PV or 3PV (by pressing F4 to switch between them)

In Hardcore mode, you will only be able to 1PV.

They have been stating this for a while; It is how it's going to be implemented. If people have issues with 3PV they can play in the 1PV Only mode.
