Has happened to me three times now, when piloting my AS7-RS(C). An ECM equipped spider pops into view at close range and my client freezes for 1-2 seconds. Frustrating when I have them dead-to-rights in my crosshairs only to see them suddenly jump across the screen and my ERPPCs hit where they should have been a few seconds ago.

Same here, was running my ddc on canyon and tourmaline - both times was facing ecm-spider and both times he was not running smooth according to me - just jumpy, as if he had micro-freeze.All other mechs were moving as they should. Spider pilot had no problems with connection and his ping was about ~100 and mine was about ~210 ( he is my teammate, just we were soloing and 2 times were in different teams).

I've seen that a couple of times as well (spiders either warping/rubberbanding, or client hiccups). Add the awful spider hitbox detection and you have Yet Another Recipe for MWO Suck.

Come ON, devs, put more guys on bug fixes and fewer on maps like TT - just put that fiasco on a shelf for a couple of months, and *then* debug the map before you put it back in.

And if the spider issue (speed? bad scaling? bad geometry?) can't be easily fixed... put them on the "to be fixed" shelf too.

Many spider pilots don't run in straight line. The only time I run in straight line is when I am reporting you to my teammates your location and your mech and where you are headed. Most spider pilots when targeted by more than 1 mech run zig zag all the time every second or so. They also do short jump bursts to mess up the leveling indicators of the targeting mech. Example if I am being targeted by an Atlas and say a jagger I will not run in short straight lines I zig zag constantly back and forth and fire jump jets for anywhere from .1 sec to half sec. All to prevent pinpoint shooting to kill me.

It's not just spiders for me. I see it with centurions also.

I suspect they wonked something on specific mech skins?

I've played the spider quite a bit and the warping seems to come from collisions, especially with buildings, such as those on River City and the buildings around bases on a number of maps however it can also happen when a spider bumps into another mech.
