Terra Therma is a beautiful, beautiful map. I feel like I'm stomping around in Mordor on it, and the lava flame effects? Buy that guy a beer. And while it's true with the current 8v8 it is a bit hard to find others (which some might feel is a gross understatement), I think that the ground work for 12v12 and a new game type (true death match style with re-spawns or whatever you guys are envisioning next) will make that map one of the more popular ones in time. Right now? Perhaps not, but that's the tricky part of building foundations for upcoming content in steps.
As to the ghost heat problem, I'm just appreciative of the attempt to curb the issue of super boats. Could there be another way to go about it better? Maybe, and I do miss my quad large lasers, or triple Large pulses, but props for trying. And in the end? I'm sure you guys will opt for the best route once the stresses of launch are behind you. You just have a lot on your plate with that deadline coming up, and retracing steps and pulling dev resources at this point might be more harmful to that launch deadline than revisiting the fix post launch.
My only request with respect to the near future (and I realize I'm deviating from the current patch discussion with this), is with the special Phoenix mech variants, that if you opt to give it similar bonuses to founders mechs, please consider not giving them 30% to our founders 25%. We took a bigger risk back then, and to see it replaced by newer better bonuses kinda makes us feel unloved. Sure we got what we payed for, but in the grand scheme of things, it really is a minor nuance that could go along way to making us feel more valued as players and paying customers if we could see our investments treated with equal appreciation.
With that said, keep trucking through this rough pre-launch season. This game still has all the potential we were hyping about a year ago, and even though it may seem like 2 steps forward one step back right now, once we get there we'll all look back and say "Thank Urban Mech that's over", and continue exploding some very sexy looking mechs on some very cool looking maps.
