I just realized that the marauder 2 is fair game for MWO. Being introduced in 3012. plus the marauder 2 itself is not an unseen.

Only problem is it can't look too similar to the unseen marauder.

I would understand if PGI may want to hold off on Marauder 2 design until they are able to obtain the rights for the Marauder, so that they can be designed similarly. (IE base marauder 2 design on marauder. not the other way around. )

It already looks different enough by being what it is, not the marauder.

though this is the tro art for marauder 2. just marauder with wings

but i think they have better leverage using the marauder 2 to get it into our game than with the marauder one. cuz the 2 itself isn't unseen. (thank god for those wings)

The Marauder II was unseen as well (at least that's what Sarna says).

Looks pretty UnSeen to me. It's just a slightly bulkier Officer's Battlepod.

Only way it makes it is to use the ReSeen Phoenix version or a whole new one. But since it's origins are in the Macross designs, I would not hold my breath.

No it doesn't, it's obviously derivative, and thus still covered by the copyright. Doesn't matter in any case because there aren't 3 variants available at this time I'm pretty sure.

i have a feeling that PGI will find a way to sukk the money out of the players with the other popular unseens like MAD and WHM... they are at least very creative in this regard.

MAD-4A Marauder II - available since 3012
MAD-5A Marauder II - Available since 3049
MAD-5B Marauder II - available since 3050

For visuals, bulk-up and "FD-ize" the artwork recently released for the MAD-4X Marauder for Experimental Technical Readout: Succession Wars I. ;)
Posted Image
(The original MAD-4X design for the TRO was, in fact, apparently done by one Anthony Scroggins... known to some as "Shimmering-Sword".)

wish catalyst games woudl work out some sort of deal with HG using this marauder

Posted Image

Lol if they wanted to implement the unseens now would be a really good time, since HG is currently using their resources on that lawesuit against Hasbro

see, now that looks like a MArauder II..... as I been saying for over a year. And the XTRO is just another takeon the Project Phoenix chassis. While I am not agianst the ReSeen MAD, it is hardly iconic, eithe.
