Can't wait - i've been checking on this website on a monthly basis hoping for progress. Glad to see it's moving forward and i can't wait to play. EA had screwed up and dropped theirs 10 years ago and i'm glad we're finally going to have something we can play in real time.

I am very happy to see this. I think we have been waiting along time to get this. Without a doubt I am sure you guys will do a fine job getting this game going and up and running. I am already looking forward to the Alpha and Beta sign up.

Please keep the boardgame rules, and have either have a permadeath or limited lives (maybe 3 at max). This will allow people to think before they act. Also, allow players to tow salvage for parts/profit. I really hope this is a simulator not an arcade.

I hope some of you devs/designers played some btech MUSE/MUSH and/or Mechforce (amiga) by Ralph Reed. Those games are still talked about. Or stick to Mechwarrior 2 Mercs concept.

Thank you!!

Jason

p.s. - A side note: The Mech Warrior Living Legends team did a great job re-creating Mech combat, maybe you guys should think about having them work with you.

Must admit, permadeath or fixed amount of lives sounds quite good. Though I know it will not happen (not good for business) I would indeed like people to think before jumping into things.

Very excited to hear about this. I started off playing MPBT:Solaris on AOL/Gamefly and also played many of the PC and XBox games as well as the card game and Mechwarrior Miniature game. Best of luck with Dev and looking forward to seeing what you guys come up with. Long Live Battletech!

Thanks guys, for deciding to push through with this. I've been playing Battletech since the board game, over 20 years ago now!

I have been checking back with hope that there was some more news about this game for the last 2 years now.

I'm really looking forward to this universe and future expansion.

Must say this past month has been a high ride! Guessing, speculating, enjoying!

I think the part that sits so strongly with me if Russ and Bryan, and who knows how many other DEVs of PGI are Mechwarrior and Battletech fans! One interview said Russ and Bryan yearly have been trying to make this a reality. I for one think our beloved franchisee is in probably the best hands that it can be in. A dedicated team!

You have me cemented on your forums here, I for one love it! Looking forward to YEARS of working with you. Reading battletech is awesome, being able to live it... even better!

I really missed any Mech related games in the past few years, going back to both MechCommander and MechWarrior series every couple months.
I'm excited about MWO, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you guys and I hope you'll at least repeat the sucsess of World of Tanks.

Glad to see you have your true location up Coffi, and nice to see another positive MWLL influence on the boards. I also hope the devs continue to converse with us as it can only help understanding both ways. Well that being assumed we all remain as civil as we have, which I think has gone magnificently so far.

Yes but Clan Ice Hellion is a collection of individualists that will never make it to the sphere, whereas at least CHH gets enough love from CW to actually control three planets. And that, only because the Wolf touman was weak...when is it not *laughs heartily*

I have been addicted to Mech games since Mechawarrior (EGA graphics!). That game got me into playing BattleTech, the maps n paper game.

I didn't play again until Mechwarrior4 - and went whole-hog, with the Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback joystick. Also played MW4 Black Knight.

I'm still in denial, and have 2 MS Sidewinder II force feedback joysticks, hoping that someone will write a Win7 64 bit driver for them ;-)

I'd really like it if we supported a decent flight stick, and gave some guidance to users as to what hardware would work well with this game.

Anyways, watching the development blog with interest. Good luck!

Thank you for picking up what will be a long overdue game for us mech lovers.

I started with MW2 on PC, to MechAssault, etc.

Good luck guys do us proud!

Ew, MechAssault...

Any other product supposedly based on BattleTech, I'll grant, but that was not BattleTech.

I loved EarthSiege and StarSiege, but they were their own products, their own universe. MechAssault tried to sell itself as BattleTech when it was quite clearly not- it was just using the 'Mechs and some of the weapons, but otherwise it bore no resemblance...

Great news. Glad you lads figured that out. Look forward to any sufficient Mechwarrior game. I'm kinda MechWarrior rhirsty. Play it since Mechwarrior 1 on PC (1991), and came along with almost every game on this platform, including MLL. But still wanna play a particular well made simulator. And I wish you good luck with creating this one.
