Extra Slot In Engine Question

An aspect of the game i am confused about, lets say i mount an XL 300 engine, i have 2 extra heat sink slots in that engine. Let's say i place two double heat sinks in it, do those heat sinks increase my heat threshold by 2 like all internal engine heat sinks, or by 1.4 if i were to place it anywhere else in the mech.

Extra heat sinks in the engine have the 1.4 modifier I believe.

Extra heatsinks in the engine are 1.4, the engine slots just let you save criticals .
