I keep an eye on it, but I probably won't hop on until it gets ported to Crysis 2.

Ahh touche... But you cant deny that its a pretty mod :) I think they very much deserve the awards theyve won in the modding community!

EDIT: Its also awesome how a bunch of their staff were actually adopted by crytek itself

It was worth the $5 I paid for crysis. I've been playing it off an on for some time now, though I haven't been able to find the time within the last month or so. If you ever see Crysis Warhead on sale, pick it up. Worth the proce of admission.

Sorry, but it looks like the difficulty of porting the game over to such a drastically different engine would be far too much work for too little reward, so no Crysis 2 port seems to be in the works currently. I sometimes play it (or used to before I moved back to school and can't get the downloader to work properly from this network), to me it was pretty good entertainment for free, since I already had crysis warhead. It has some engine limitations as expected, but what they've been able to do with it is something I think anyone can appreciate at face value.

I play it, and host a server in Australia.
I think its an outstanding effort, a battetech game, made by battletech fans

http://www.HPGRelay.com

Has a list of the major units/clans that play, as well as a link to the Mechwarrior: Living legends site.

Crysis wars is really cheap these days and the mod, while in development is a joy to play.
The Solaris Arena maps even have the original duncan fisher shoutcasting.

Well worth a look while we wait for MWO to be released

Crysis Wars is insanely cheap and with a mod looks better, and runs almost as well as, Crysis 2.

I'm a HUGE MWLL fan. It's probably what got me to look up BattleTech on FB, which in turn helped get me here. Yes, it has its bugs and issues (it's a total conversion mod, so...), but I enjoyed it FAR more than Crysis, to be honest. And with MW3 not wanting to load on my laptop, and MW4 being super buggy (*cries*), it's keeping me from dying from lack of massive war machines blowing each other up. And I'll eventually get a joystick so I can a) Finally feel the joy of piloting a 'Mech with a joystick, and :) Not die horrendously while attempting to pilot a VTOL or aerospace fighter. And I used to rock in jet games... >.<

MWLL what's that :D

Glad to see some names I don't recognize playing MWLL. Yes do get it if Crysis Warhead/Wars is one sale steam, soooo worth it :) Just be warned it really is more of Battletech Living Legends than Mechwarrior. ASF, Tanks, BA's and artillery oh my :D

the mod is really great with a FANTASTIC set of devs that are doing a great job with from what I can see severely LIMITED resources. WHats nice is that the community maps are in rotation on one of the better servers so the content is always fresh. Not to mention the maps are indeed great. It takes getting used to, I mean it aint any other MW game youve played, sometimes tactics are crappy, but way more often than not, the game is ENtertaining. THere is an AWFUL LOT, the devs here should be paying attention to about how the lads of at mwll did things. Not the least of which is how mechs go boom. .

I played it right around the time it was launched, I really enjoyed it, even though I have never really liked multiplayer/PvP... I am right down to it mainly a singlplayer/solo type of a gamer. It is a very well made mod, looks awesome, playes awesome, and feels awesome to.

I joined TLL as well, had maybe 2 training sessions with them, but I sort of fell away from the game. Mainly because there are just so many games out there that feel like playing as well, that I tend to constantly jump between games, and at times compleatly forget about a game. MWLL ended up being one of those games I forgot to play. Don't have Crysis Wars though, so I can't play it at the moment though.

On the MWLL and TLL forum I went under the name of Calistarius.

I'm pretty sure the devs said that was not going to happen. They estimated that it would take at least 9 months just to port the game over, and they don't want to leave the mod "dormant" for that amount of time.

Anyway, I've played the mod quite a few times. Initially, I thought it was a lot of fun, but I got really bored with constantly playing team FFA..

It is a ton of fun and a great way to play a video game version of battletech that requires teamwork and thought.

Also, it is the first MW version of any game that actually has a steep learning curve. Good Stuff.

Exactly, I played it for awhile, the mech purchase set up reminded me of mechcommander buying preset loadouts to fight with, but it was fun. Just don't like the fact that the Cryengine 2 is not as optimized as Cryengine 3, Crysis is the only thing that I cant get 60 fps on 1920x1080. Le sad.

Moral of the story- It was great. :D
