Hit boxes for lights are not balanced. Fire a 2 ppc/gauss combo at a 3l or jenner and you blow a leg off, if you get the shot in the neighborhood of the legs. Fire the same combo at a spider, and the both legs turn yellow. that's a bit unbalanced. same thing with torso shots. same combo takes out a Jenner or raven, and turns the spider yellow.

The problem is hit detection, not hit boxes. Hit detection refers to shots not registering damage when they're "supposed" to hit. Hit boxes refer to separated locations on an enemy's body that represent different limbs to deal damage to. Hit boxes on every light mech have been the same since forever, except for the Raven which got its leg hitboxes extended to larger than the physical model back before HSR was added.
