So a PPC hit that crits does an additional 1.5 dmg to internals.

An Ac20 round that crits will do 3 extra dmg.

A lbx pellet that crits does 0.15, 0.3 (14% chance),0.6(8% chance), or 0.9(2% chance) dmg. Looking at the averages, you get roughly 0.3 dmg per pellet on average. If by some chance you hit and crit with all 10 pellets, you would do 3 extra damage (the same as an AC20)

a very small buff, and nothing to worry about from a balance standpoint.


LBX pellets have additional crit properties. 1 pellet can do 2, 4 or even 6 pts of additional crit damage (which means .3, .6, and .9 internal damage). Same goes for MGs PER BULLET... 1 bullet can do 1.25 crit damage, 2.5, or 3.75.. which means an additional .1875, .375, and.5625 internal damage respectively).

This is a lot more serious than you think.

In any case, it just accelerates the PPC/Gauss meta... and AC20s.

I, for one, won't be satisfied until every mech that's not fitting at least one Gauss Rifle and one PPC simply auto-ejects the pilot at the start of the ground. I was a bit concerned that the recent changes to SRMs would make up for back when PGI removed their splash damage, but these new changes to make SRM4s and SRM6s stack a heat penalty look promising.

Not quite sure on the UAC/5s, though. They might still do enough damage to be relevant even if you are forced to look straight-on at your target the entire time. We need to put a nail in that coffin asap.

Im just going to say this straight up (Base capture in assault mode is ccrraap) 7 out of 8 games all the other team did was rush to capture our base assault mode is for fighting. So PGI please delete the base capture in assault mode it truly suckssss. Posted Image

The new weapon effects for low or mid performace systems are crap:

-ppc fire looks like energy sperms

-lrm have no trails anymore

-ballistic bullets are now tiny points

The 12vs12 on the smaller maps is playing murder with my FPS. With 8vs8 I averaged 16 FPS in City for example. With the changes my 10 FPS.

Also my peeve with the Large Pulse Lasers - they still run too hot. I would be fine changing them back to 10 damage, and 7.3 heat. Or 10.5 damage with 7.5 heat.

What do you expect? They're supposed to look like crap so your video card doesn't have to work as hard to get a playable FPS level.

Yeah, I have to actually increase my graphics settings to get the same results as I used to which decreases my performance. How is that an improvement?

Dunno man, I liked the 8v8, less players mean shorter matches, completely removing 8v8 was kindof a silly move in my opinion because some maps are really just too smal for 24 players the way i see it.

You should rather put 8v8 game mode with only the small maps and medium sized ones, and a 12v12 with the big maps and the medium sized ones.

I don't want to play Terra Therma at all, and this is not something more players will fix. maybe making it a unique Free For All map or 3v3/4v4 map would work, dividing starting positions (half team starts in one corner of the map and the other half the other corner, meaning less walking distance) but even that wouldn't be enough, because there are so many collision bugs on that map. I encounter invisible walls all the time, sometimes i get stuck in an invisible box even. and i've seen more people get stuck in it.

TERRA THERMA IS NOT READY YET!

so please remove it from the game until it is actually playable. The heat is enough of a restriction, the mountains blocking our path and making us walk for 5 minutes before we encounter any enemy is just way too much when we know the combat is gonna suck anyways because of overheating.

It doesn't help anyone to have a map that 80% of the playerbase or more hates. I know you love a map you worked hard to make but face the fact that the damned thing isn't ready to be used yet. Just please put the map's intergration on hold.

As for first win of the day, it should not apply to trials and it should give both extra CB and XP. why? Xp is worthless to us, it takes us a few games to research all of the basic tree, and we can't get to elite and master unless we have a lot of spare slots and a lot more of spare CB. Thanks for double XP for 1 game but no thanks, that stuff is uselss unless i intend to convert it to GXP for MC. I don't intend to do that.

I also think players should get bonus CB and Exp for surviving a match.

Yes, but the problem is that it doesn't actually fix the problem. My FPS bounces around from 8 to 14 on the worst maps(Frozen City, River City, Terra Therma). I never had a fantastic framerate, but it was definitely more than adequate in the past. And I've always played on the low settings.

Unless this problem is actually resolved, I have no reason to continue playing. I used to regularly get 500+ damage and 2 or more kills fairly often. Now I'm actually lucky if I snag ONE kill, and I don't think I've gotten over 200 damage in a single match yet. I've always preferred brawler and striker builds - these may no no longer be options, unfortunately. Half the time I can't even tell what I'm aiming at...

which is? looks the same to me unless they buffed its range...

Why is that uncalled for? PPC/ERPPC do negligibly less damage at nearly 2x/3x the range, meaning you can begin attacking much sooner than somebody using a large pulse laser -- without the need to even bother keeping your cursor over the target the whole time. You can also use them to break ECM to allow for locks or indirect LRM fire. Please explain yourself.

The feel of 12v12 is off.

I for one do not like it as the 'only' playable option.

I would play 12v12 from time to time, but would play 8v8 75% of the time if given the choice.

I will not buy any more PGI MC until they add that option, 8v8 and 12v12.

Been playing since January, and if they care to check, they can see how much MC I have bought, no more from this customer.

I would be nice if they cared about their paying customer base. We'll see.
