Pre-hot fix I was 60fps nominal dropping to 50fps at busy times. However since the hot fix I've seen a brief flash of 12fps.Recently it's usually about 30-50fps now so a definite drop. PC Specs as follows:

> Mainboard : Gigabyte X58A-UD3R
> Chipset : Intel X58
> Processor : H50 Liquid Cooled Intel Core i7 930 Quad Core @ 2800 MHz (Current Overclock: 4000Mhz)
> Physical Memory : 12288 MB DDR-1333 (3 x 4096 DDR3-SDRAM )
> Video Card 1: AMD Radeon HD 7870 Series 2Gb
> Video Card 2: AMD Radeon HD 7870 Series 2Gb
> Boot Hard Disk : ADATA SSD S510 120GB ATA Device (120GB)
> Game Hard Disk : Seagate ST31000340AS ATA Device (1000GB)
> Monitor Type 1: LG Electronics E2240 - 22 inches
> Monitor Type 2: BenQ BenQ GW2250 - 22 inches
> Monitor Type 3: BenQ BenQ GW2250 - 22 inches
> Network Card : Realtek Semiconductor RTL8168/8111 PCIe Gigabit Ethernet Adapter
> Operating System : Windows 7 Professional Professional Media Center 6.01.7601 Service Pack 1 (64-bit)
> DirectX : Version 11.00

Certainly no slouch!

If I drop into Crossfire mode the fps drops even more to the point the game 'stutters' along. Not good Posted Image

Any map, any where and at any time.

40Mb connection in the UK and every detail on max. with nothing changed before or after the hot fix.

Hi.

Hot fix on august 8th did some wonders for me. Before patch I got about 10fps. After patch this jumped to about 35-40 fps.

I have quite low end computed and run at minimum details. The game is again playable. Thanks B)

Cpu: Intel core 2 quad @ 2.4GHz
Video card: Nvidia gforce gt 520.

There is but one answer to use which will inform PGI that they are not cutting it.....

Boycott the game for 2 weeks. This will affect their revenue stream and they WILL notice that. Since PGi tends to not really read the forums in depth, coordinating a boycott will be easy to accomplish.

Hotfix 8th August was great for my computer performance, now I have 20-25 fps, before the patch I had 10-13 fps, now the game is playable for me. Thank you very much for the improve. All settings at low.

System Specs: CPU Intel core i5 @2.27Gh x4 / RAM: 4GB/ ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4500/5100

Since the last patch I don't really have "average" FPS.

River City and Forest Colony is unplayable (once the fighting starts, FPS drops to around 1),
Desert, Therma, Frozen City, Caustic seem fine. I've been playing on 'high' settings since forever, dropping to medium didn't change a thing.

I've also started getting CTD or even hangups - something I encountered once or twice before, now it's every few games. This is borderline unplayable.

I've got a rather old, but beefed up box:

Pentium Quad Core 3Ghz, Geforce GTX 560, 3GB RAM, Win 7 64bit.

Low Framerate? High Latency? Tell us about it here!

Please attempt to respond to the following questions in your responses:
  • How had the patch generally affected your performance?
  • Whether there are specific points in the game when your performance changes.
  • What are your video settings, did you change them since last patch?
  • Average FPS ingame and in the menus for previous patch and latest patch (Press F9 to see your FPS)
  • System specs (You can include them in a [spoiler] [ /spoiler])
  • Your advertised internet connection speed / Geographic location

  • I must say, you guys really pulled the rabbit out of your hats this time. Before average FPS was 15-20, now it's 25-30. I must sincerely congratulate you and thank you for making the game truly playable for me for the first time.
  • These points are still: Night and Thermal vision. Both eat 5-10 FPS. Sometimes (Specially on canyon valley and the new lava map) I get hickups where my fps drops to 15 FPS for an instant.
  • My video setting are set to very low and I am using a user.cfg to lower them even more. My PC is ancient so that's the only way I can play. This does not turn off fog or make trees invisible, however.
  • http://pastebin.com/Ht7KyGt9 Somehow your spoiler thingy didn't work or me

Made the game pretty much unplayable!
  • Whether there are specific points in the game when your performance changes.
Looking up into distance or multiple mechs on screen. When switching screens in menu.
  • What are your video settings, did you change them since last patch?
I normally play on Ultra High pre-patch. I have tried all setting since and they all produce the same abysmal FPS.
  • Average FPS ingame and in the menus for previous patch and latest patch (Press F9 to see your FPS)
was 50-60+ V-Synced in game pre-patch. Now 20-60 in menus and 5-25fps in game.

Spoiler
  • Your advertised internet connection speed / Geographic location
ADSL2+ 24/1 Mbps / South Australia

While I agree that the last hot fix did work some wonders on my FPS (can reach 15 FPS while playing sometimes), I'm still not seeing any consistent improvement. I'm usually around 10 FPS while playing however I still get games that are dropping to 5-9 FPS even when I'm spectating. I know my system isn't the best and it more than qualifies as min spec to play but I shouldn't have to suffer with the FPS being this low. I haven't changed any video settings. I play on all low settings, Post AA off, V-Sync off, Fullscreen windowed, 1280x1024 resolution. Change the resolution to a lower setting produces no appreciable results.

System:
Win 7 x64 Home Premium
Core i3 @ 2.93 GHz

One area my fps really suffers is with dust/smoke particles up close, particularly when zoomed in.

It becomes aggravated by low-slung mechs like the stalker which kick up dust as I walk backwards, filling my screen with performance destroying dust. I can go from 55+fps down to 20fps because of this

OK did some more testing on my other system and its running great.

1440X900(using a backup monitor atm)
Everything on "Very High"
Motion Blur is OFF
Full Screen

q6700 Quad Core OCed @ 3.5ghz
4GB of ddr2 1066mhz @ 5-5-5-15
GTX280
Average FPS around 40
Intense fighting mid to low 30s with rare drops into the high 20s and spikes into the 50s-60s.

CPU is still the limiting factor as I also have:

System number 2
AMD quad 965 Black Edition OCed @3.8
Old Motherboard with a crippling 800/1200mhz (OCed) hyper transport
4gb 800mhz 5-5-5-15
GTX280
And it must be turned down to "High" @ 1440x900 to be playable.

If anyone is having problems with FPS you may want to check to make sure your CPU is throttling up to full speed:

How had the patch generally affected your performance?

In a big way, considering my machine. I had locked 60 FPS before, now it fluctuates 40~50 with 60 in no movement areas.

Whether there are specific points in the game when your performance changes.

With plenty of mechs, framerate goes down. Also I noticed the mechlab is taxing my GPU much more than before.

What are your video settings, did you change them since last patch?

Max settings, motion blur in low, 1600X900 Full Window.

Average FPS ingame and in the menus for previous patch and latest patch (Press F9 to see your FPS)

Same since last patch.

System specs

Spoiler

Your advertised internet connection speed / Geographic location

4 Mb ADSL - São Paulo/Brazil

While I can play just fine, the performance took a big hit since I started playing, without a satisfying improvement in graphics. I'd like to get my locked 60 FPS as before if possible as well as better graphics, like founders had before.

Occasionally the client will crash, usually due to a problem with my system or network I presume. However I do hope there is a feature to allow you to hop back into a match when you are disconnected provided your mech has not been destroyed. I believe that if your mech is still intact you should be allowed to jump back into the match in the event of an unintended disconnect.

Would make my DAY!!!!! lol. Enjoying the entire game otherwise!
