Think of it like a 10 pound lighter catapult -JJ's its supposed to fill the indirect fire support role. It's "XL" friendly so it can fit lots of ammo, and LRMS

GB is made for LRM's. Best wait for other Kintaro's for brawling. I'd maybe do something like this:

This is the build I'm using for the GB.

I chainfire the LRM 5's. I landed 600 damage flat in one match. It's my favorite mech currently. There's just something satisfying about wave after wave of missiles launching with almost no delay between them.

AMS makes my cry though.

ATM87, I modified your build a bit and took it out for a spin. Not bad! There may be some real gold in this chassis after all.

Golden Boy has a massive CT. Get killed very easy like this.

Might try the above , had very poor success with the GB so far ,

My best was with 3x LL , and SRM4

I've done fairly well with this "Tengu" build. If I have a half-way decent team, I can lob a lot of volleys very quickly and provide some real support for the assaults. The TAG is a must have. Right now, I have dropped 2 of the LRM-5's and installed 2 SRM-4's that group with the TAG when fired. Alpha is 44.5. I'm hoping this will improve my ability to smack down lights. If not, I'll go back to 5 LRM-5's.

Center-torso hits are still the only way this mech gets taken down.

piloting the GB now with:

- 2x Large Laser
- 1x TAG
- 5x LRM 5 @750 Ammo
- XL 280 @ 90 KPH (spd tweak)

1.31 heat efficiency

too bad that the GB isn't worth the MC in comparsion to its CB brothers :'<

Did try the above setup - As am not much of a LRM player - and i have had shocking teams recently.
Still having very poor results.

Feeling little ripped off with the MC price atm :P

My personal rig has 3 medium lasers, an XL 280 engine, full armor EXCEPT on the side torsos where it's 8 front and 4 rear. It packs 5 LRM-5s as there are no penalties, and lots of ammo as well as enough heatsinks to keep it running.

Oh and since it was mentioned before, I do not chain fire my LRM-5s. It keeps hitting like a rapid fire LRM-25. Over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, non-stop.

I keep moving at the highest speeds I can and bombard LRMs on all that I can. Works best when paired with a team of 2 or three scouts.

As long as you are not be blocked by an ECM, you can make some lasting Impressions with this Variant. 2 LRM 20 Atremis, TAG, 2 Smallaser. 73 Kp/h.

My numbers are showing each missile from an LRM5 that hits is doing 1.146 damage, LRM10's 1.079, LRM15's 1.141, and LRM20's 1.000.

For me only 22% of LRMs fired actually hit my target. Each type is 22% except LRM 15 which is at 21%.

Those numbers are collected since the last stat wipe, though I don't use LRM boats often. Some of it was with artemis and tag and some not.

Not Atm. I just testing a 5LRM5 Chainfiresetup, wich looks realy funny to me. But its the next Setupt to Test and i guess it is doing as well as a 2x 20 LRM Jaeger.
