XP is far more valuable than C-Bills.....

No it isn't, for new players C-Bills honestly is way more valuable, the only people who say it isn't as valuable as EXP are the people with 100 million C-Bills from having played since closed beta.. You could at least Elite a variant a week if you were good enough during 8 man's, having EXP bonuses now makes that easier in 12 man's, even though it wasn't hard to do before. At least fixing C-Bill rewards back to where they were means you can buy a new Mech every week to keep up with the ease of farming EXP now. EXP rewards needed a buff, but C-Bills did not need a nerf, it was fine the way it was.

When I started playing this game, I wanted to be able to buy and customize my own Mech's, and what you are given at registration for a new account wasn't exactly a huge amount (5 million C-Bills?). If you want to have one of each class of Mech in your inventory, you have to grind those out which just got worse for new players with the nerf. I honestly never have enough C-Bills because I am constantly buying Mech's to make me more flexible for my competitive team drops. 8 of my 21 Mech's are one's that I paid cash for because they are hero chassis, the others I had to grind to buy because quite frankly I hated the trial Mech's when I started playing since you couldn't do anything with them. If I were a new player wanting to customize my own Mech's, either I would have to pay for them with cash, or grind it out, and not everyone wants to drop money to enjoy a free to play game off the hop. Now though, PGI expects exactly that.

Doubling C-Bills is not a solution to the economic woes of this game. Fixing rewards/increasing the total output is.

I see 2 problems moving forward:
  • For Mech Pilots who prefer certain mechs they are probably already mastered out. So Double XP does nothing other than increase the total next to that mech in the pilot lab.
  • For everyone the cbill nerf will start to grind people down when project pheonix comes out. People will have between 3 and 18 new mechs and very few will have the money to outfit them all with endo/DHS/XL Engines. At present there is no way to get these items with MC. This will become 2 problems, annoyingly moving around all of your gear each time you want to switch mechs, and a lack of buying additional MC because you already have everything.
PGI please hire some business consultants:

First, I think you would make more with MC if it was a shortened ladder.Instead of scaling MC to cbills if you made the larger more grind intensive mechs a shorter path to purchase by going with MC. (if say they only cost 20 dollars instead of 50). I think you would make up the difference in volume.

Second, increase micro transactions/decrease prices. I have an XL 360 engine and I move it between mechs because it's expensive to get another one. I think it's like 5.5 million c-bills. If I could get another one for 5 dollars I would consider it. If it cost 10-20-30-40-50 dollars I would probably never buy it. Again, volume will make up the difference between one kid with mom's wallet buying and outfitting one mech, to the swath of players who would spend 5 dollars not to have to move all of their components around.

That's just me though.

Of course c-bills would be nice but then where is the incentive to buy premium mechs and actually support the game? Abstain.

Not strictly true. Buy mech with MC then sell for c-bills.

Double c-bills please. Double XP only caters to ppl dropping real cash instead of your entire player base.

I would rather have sort of daily missions that reward c-bills.

After rethinking this and playing for a while under the new rules, here's my suggestion: Give us the choice!

How many games have we played where, once the mission was completed, we turn in the quest, and we get a choice of reward at the end? Give us the choice!

1) Double my XP!
2) Double my CBills!
3) Double (or dump all to) my GXP!
4) RANDOM!

Nothing wrong with giving players more choice.

Yes, but, honestly, I, personally, would add:

1. lower XP and CBills by 25%;
2. lower Cbills by 50%;
3. lower XP by 50%;
4. something random;

for each failed quest then. There is nothing wrong with giving players even more choices, right?
