Hello.

My idea has 3 integral components that function together.

1) New players get 1,000,000 c-bills every winning match.
2) The C-bill total caps at 15,000,000 c-bills.
3) The player will receive this bonus until they purchase their second mech.

My supporting ideas and reasoning are as follows.

The reason why the C-bill cap is 15,000,000 is because that is the maximum cost to purchase any mech in the game and have all the upgrades/engine/weapons required to stay competitive with veteran players.

The reason for only having the bonus until the second mech is simple. With that first mech they purchase, if they do not like the weight class/mech/hardpoints/etc, the new players can play a few more matches, sell the mech and easily buy a new mech. No mech will be out of their reach if they only spend a little time on a small grind for a big reward. New players love being rewarded for doing simple things. (Notice how MMORPG leveling schemes make the player feel successful with quick leveling in the beginning). So the goal is to give the new players access to as many mechs, weapons, and playstyles as MWO has to offer.

The reason I chose 1,000,000 c-bills as the winning reward is...because it's a nice round number.

Anti-Abuse Ideas:

--Only allow one of every item to be stored in their "inventory" so that players will not grind on buying hundreds of the most expensive engines to resell once they lose the c-bill bonus.

--I am unsure if the bonus in my idea should be a "one time" deal in which once the player buys their second mech, if they sell the second mech, would they get the bonus again? I favor the idea if the new player decides he/she likes the bonus and wants to try new mechs all the time. Or the players that want to do ONLY competitive drops and so grinds 15,000,000 until their leader tells them which mech to buy. Then they would sell their mech and meet the needs of their Clan/Merc Corp/House. But I am not sure if competitive players will be making secondary accounts since their main accounts cannot handle the current c-bill grind. In either case, the customers are playing and enjoying the game.

The reason why I am suggesting this is because I wanted my brother to play this game. He estimated that he would have to play MWO and grind for 3 months before he could start enjoying all that MWO has to offer. So the week that he began was the same week he quit and continued playing other MMO games.

Thank you for your time.

There are already cadet bonuses and 3 months is severaly over estimate. I earned enough c-bills to get my first mech in a week and I didn't have that much time to play. i've only paid for 2 so far out of the 12 or so I've owned.

It's not exactly 3 months, but it's a long time if you only play on weekends (hint: most of us only play on weekends, because we're adults).

Even with something like this, which is an expanded cadet bonus, there's still the problem with base income, and income, period, being too low to even warrant any kind of grind. The current cash problems is likely to lead to very few kintaros purchased in the patch.
