Well PGI has done it royally this time:
Did they seriously think that only a few tests where enough to justify implementing a system that would drastically change both the meta game and the data the servers needed to crunch?
The game is totally unplayable for me now. Not only will my game start lagging whenever theres 5+ mechs in close proximity to me, but enemies that change direction when I'm trying to follow them, will cause them to vanish completely from my screen and "teleport" somewhere behind or to one side.
I sometimes get negative hits with my lasers now for crying out loud. I see my lasers hit, but no damage is dealt, and no hit detection shows. (flashing crosshair) That only happend before with SRMs, or projectile weapons.
This plus since now 12 people on either side has changed the meta game, I see rollovers where one side wins with little or no losses, much more often than before. I wont speculate into why that is. I do have my own theories, but there are so many factors that getting to the root of the problem and not just all the effects it has, is honestly more time consuming than I want or even am able to do as it is.
PGI needs to stop the way they allocate their time and spend more time bug fixing, TESTING and listening to the community, and less time making new poorly made maps, more mechs they can make extra money on, and less lumps of f'ing coal for our mech cockpits. (whoever bought into that one have my deepest sympathies for being struck by what was hopefully temporary insanity.)
Get your act together PGI or you'll loose what playerbase you have left.

Dear troll: Your not worth my time, so don't waste yours by replying here. I wont reply.
Anyone else: your insights are always welcome.

I have to agree with you. I played in several of the 12 vs 12 tests and it was pretty obvious to me that it was no where close to being ready for release. Also the polls they did where they asked for feedback showed at least 50-70% of the testers felt the same way yet somehow after only about 4-8 hours of testing, we now have 12 vs 12 as our only play option.
If I hadn't had to upgrade my video card last week, the game would have been unplayable for me and I wouldn't have even been able to use the $80 Overload Pack that I haven't even recieved yet. Guess I got lucky but man I feel for all those that didn't and are finding the game unplayable.

Agreed. Vik, I've got a pretty snazzy new video card too and I'm seeing fps drops where none existed before. I'm not sure how long that's going to be 'playable' for me, my eyes aren't so good anymore I need smooth frames. Of further concern to me is how anyone at PGI thought that the smaller maps were in any way balanced for 12v12? They are snipe fests or chaos brawls now. The game was never deep, but damn this sure illustrates the total lack of tactical options now. I'm sure performance issues will be resolved, but the rest... I am now officially cynical after today's patch.

Look buddy you don't think "more critical damage so mechs die faster" coded itself, do you? There were some things a little more important than "playability" and "fun" that need attention, maybe once UI 2.0 is done they can think about improving your pet concerns.

i would think playability should be a major concern.but i 'think'

Stop playing on a toaster.
My GPU is below the minimum spec and I still get 28 frames per second with slowdowns only when I'm in the middle of twenty mechs (which you should not be if you plan to survive more tan thirty seconds)
Terra Therma is an exception though, but Canyons runs at 33 fps

I usually get around 55ish fps. Except when theres allot of mechs around. I also get lag spikes at times whenever I run into specific areas on maps, and when certain mechs are in my view for the first time in a match. This does not happen all the time, so its a bit difficult to pinpoint.
Anyway I think my pc is fine.

My ping has gone up 250% in this patch from an average of 40 to over 100. I'd say we have a problem.

No I would say you have a problem, I have had no ping increase and only slight FPS drop

Re:FPS
I've had an FPS drop of about 10-15 fps on average running the game on a laptop over 30 fps.
Re:Match balance
12v12 matches I've played seem relatively even in the amount of kills in that one team seldom makes it out of a match with less than 5 mechs dead on the winning team. That said, 12v12 has taken death brawling to a whole new level, and mechs too bold to go in the wrong areas are vaporized before you can even get targeting info on them!
Re:The economy
The rumors are true, the payouts are very low, especially for losses. Ideally the payout balance should result in players getting the same rewards as before. My own K/D is pretty much unchanged from 8v8, which pretty much means, same stats, less Cbills. For many this is hard to swallow, but I have almost 120 million Cbills saved up, so it won't impact me for a long long time if this is how they want to run the game economy in the new meta.

Hi, the problem he's reporting is very widespread. Congratulations on being unaffected, now stop pretending it isn't a problem or that just because you're unaffected that it's not an issue that needs to be solved. Pretending things are fine is, itself, a problem.
