Since all threads giving feedback on this map seem to be closed, I'll have to start my own.
First of all, the map looks great. Really great. The level of detail is extraordinary.
Second, the map is really boring to play on. Really, really boring. It makes me want to tab out and ride out the storm doing something more useful in another program.
There are several reasons for this:
Most importantly, it's too big. More often than not it turns into a cap race, and it is not uncommon that matches end without anyone being killed. It is also quite annoying that you have to walk for 5 minutes (a third of the match) before the action begins.
Also, terrain disposition is too angled towards long range weaponry. For most of the map, there is no cover, making LRMs and ER PPCs totally dominant. It is even worse than Alpine Peaks (which I can tolerate).
Furthermore, for a weak computer like mine, performance is an issue. This is where the great level of detail becomes a negative point. Does it add anything to the gaming experience that there are crates, street lights and what not on the slopes of Mount Doom? No. I'm there to blow mechs up, not to look at there scenery. When I watch a WWII documentary, I don't spend the time admiring the pretty hedgerows of Normandy or the great flatlands of Ukraine.
Why not start making some "normal" maps? Temperature in the 10 to 30 degree range, simple rolling hills or cliffs and no unnecessary level of detail slowing down the game. So we can focus on playing the game and enjoying tearing each others mechs apart. That would be great.

Firstly I judge this in Assault only haven't played it much in Conquest, not usually my thing.
This map would be much more fun as a king of the hill, or a defend/capture where you either defend or capture not both. as it is everyone spends 3-4 minutes just looking for the other team, sometimes both teams defend, then it takes forever. Also its a bit hard to see mechs against the color, and your night/heat visions are not the best on it. I think the ambient light maybe too low.
A simple fix to this level would be to just put the starting positions closer together, then it wouldn't take as long to get to the other team and you could RTB if the other team started caping.
