Greetings Mechwarriors,

Mission:

__________

Our purpose is to provide a transparent, constructive, and educating environment to enable individuals with skills, experience, mature temperament, and team work to further hone their craft and create a synergy with fellow Highlanders to win and have fun.
__________

We're a group formed with a focus on winning company drops in Community Warfare. Mature and optimistic, we value honor and character as key ingredients along with skill. This is a game that requires a clear, calm mind...making the correct decisions to win drops. As a team game, chemistry and familiarity, combined with efficient comms and tactics are our path to winning.

As a group of Highlanders, we've named ourselves after Ian Cameron, First Lord of the Star League (http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Ian_Cameron) Most of us have been playing since closed beta. We're formed from the corps of another Highlander unit, dating back through the Northwind Highlanders formed on mektek during the announcement of MWO in 2011. It's safe to say that we're addicts, some dating back as far as pod play in Battletech centers in the 90's.

We operate as a circle of equals, and focus on getting drops in. Each person in this corp has skills and knowledge they bring to the table, and are free to pursue and push the projects they think will benefit our clan. We aren't wrapped up in ego games, and are definitely a "no-drama" kind of group.

Our comms are calm and efficient during drops. We have our own way of doing things which lead to more victoriess than defeats. A warior in this company can choose which direction best suits him regarding roles, and we aren't hung up on running high alpha builds.

Starting with twenty-three warriors, we announced our independence July 4th. With the coming of community warfare, certainly we're looking to add more. If you're looking for a good group of people to drop with, free of drama, who can shoot straight and have a good head on their shoulders, look us up. We're on NGNG, enjinn and have our own TS3 comms we work from.

I like that we are all "leaders" in our clan. We have people doing this and that to keep the dropship moving. Part of the reason we consider ourselves a "circle of equals" is to help eliminate the drama of people who want to show up and play ego games. There's no "rank structure" as such, and intentionally so, *awards* are given by others...to others...for their outstanding work in twelve-mans...But this ego-insecurity of "LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME" isn't really tolerated. It's corrosive to what we ultimately aim for, which are efficient 12-man drops.

We aren't a huge unit, where there are people that you would hardly get to know. We're a tight-knit unit, that know how each other like to play, what we're good at, and what we need to work on. We have some great pilots who don't *just* know what they're talking about, they prove it on the battlefield.

Hi Lando! You can check out or Enjin page at http://cameronhighla....enjin.com/home. We'll be running a practice night Saturday evening at 9pm EST if you wish to drop in. I realize that may be a bit late for you, but we usually have people on earlier than the scheduled time. Talk to anyone you see and I'm sure they can help point you in the correct direction. I, as well as others, usually log into the NGNG TS server and hang out in our channel there during drop nights just in case someone wishes to join us.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
