So I bought the GB and loaded it out with several loadouts. I was thinking with the loadout and it being a hero mech, that it would be great! The hard points are very good but it has 2 major flaws. 1. The max engine is 290. 2. No variant has JJ's. So why make the Hero mech gimp? The other model Kintaros can have a 325 in them. Not to mention, a hunchy, cent and the other meds are just about better armored. Blah....wasted MC IMO.

Dude you can get a 60-70 alpha out of GB. Roll in behind an Atlas, pop out, alpha, step back, repeat. I shoot those things from range so they don't get close to me.

I hope a 55 ton mech has more armor than a 50 ton mech. Also, Pay2Win right with the smaller engine size? Amirite?

What do you mean better armored? It has more armor than any of the variants you listed. really the armor is closer to a dragons armor than a cent or hunchy but im pretty sure armor goes up a certain percentage based on tonnage.

My question to you is why, if the fact that it can only mount a max 290 engine, it does not have JJs and only mounts 370 max armor is an issue, why then die you purchase it in the first place?

I mean it is pretty obvious when you purchase the mech that your going to have these limitations or at least it should be if you had looked at the specs prior to hitting the buy button and confirming it.

Sorry no sympanthy form me, not for these issue. About the only one I might give you a little leeway on is the engine size since you would have to have know that engine size is restricted in direct relation to the stock engine it is equiped with but since your a Legendary Founder, well that is something you should have known as well.

Lastly it is a known fact that most Hero mechs are at least slightly worse than standard mechs. This is done on purpose to avoid anyone claiming P2W.

All I saw was dead and smoldering "Goldenboy's" when I played matches today as I walked over their Mech Corpses. Gotta love them silly hitboxes.

Um, the loadout are great! But.....If I would have known that the entire front of the mech counted as a CT, I would have never even dreamed of buying it. Its garbage right now and way too tall.

Well i bought it in order to turn it in to a slightly heavier Treb with a C-Bill bonus. It is working very well for me so far. Has enough of a bite in close combat and a good punch at long range.

Also it has the most garish paintjob ever.. who can say no to that. I will have to test the torso twist on the regular ones to figure out if they will be replacing my -4SP as the srm brawler in my stable.

Now that is something I can totally understand and sympathize with. I would have been totally pissed off if I had bought a GB and found out that the CT hitbox was that screwed up. I am just glad I decided to wait and check the feedback before I purchased it.

It will probably replace my A1 for LRM tossing. I always wanted to have A1 with C-Bill boost and Tag.

And it's pretty, it's so damn pretty.

*tries hard to not think about its hitboxes and the weird feeling of being royally screwed over*

I am not sure why people did not see the huge CT. Heck it is one of the widest CT´s in the game % wise. Almost on par with the Cat.

I took a run in my Cicada X-5 last night and one of my victims was a fresh KIntaro GB... He died in very short order without ever touching me... That 'cannot possibly miss' CT and the size made it way to easy. Even from the side using SRMs I was still hitting his CT.
