just saw in mechlab that BAP indicates:
range boost: 0.000000
wasn't it supposed to deliver 25% range boost to sensors?

It does boost sensor range.
No idea about the lab.

Just go install a BAP on a mech, go to training ground and see if it makes a difference in targeting ranges when you remove it.
The Modules don't work in the training ground, though, other than consumables.
