I allready whined in one of the latest matchmaker threads but this is really getting unbearable. Fix this or the only way to enjoy play this game will be steamrolling with 1-3 other guys in a group, i dont really think thats better tbh...

I don't understand the problem you are talking about (unless you are just being sarcastic). A real steam roll will be like 10-0 or 12-0. Thats not what you are showing. The drop weights don't seem horrible. In your first screenshot it looks like the losing team had a premade kurita lance with 3 cataphracts and a misery (probably lots of 2ppc/guass combos). The second drop was 2-0 (thats a mighty close game in my book and perfectly acceptable even if i'm on the losing team). The third drop was probably the worst you've shown but still 6-0 just isn't a steam roll and nobody was rolling light lances. Whats the issue exactly?

He's showing that he's being paired with newbies. Take a look at his kill/dmg per match compared to everyone else on his team.

On that note, I agree. MM needs work.

All I can see is that UAC-5 is way too strong at the moment, when every Ilya on those 4 screenshots does over 900 damage!

Love the way you troll your own team for loosing. That makes you the better player for sure.

This just in: Individual Elo doesn't work with teams. More at 11.

I do not troll anyone. Those players would have a better expirience to if matched properly. This **** needs a fix.

[edit] doing 900 in an ilya is hardly op

Indeed that was the main reason that I stopped playing. They totally killed the solo game unless you are playing US prime, and that was all jacked last time I tried it.

Just think of it as enforced sand bagging. It does seem that, instead of trying to make reasonable matches, the MM tries to ensure that everyone is equally handicapped. And it doesn't work, but PGI seems to think that we've all got to have an equal chance of bringing down each other SOME way.

You should be honored that PGI is trying to hamstring you, but I can see why it would suck, and that's what boggles me is, why the MM can't figure out how to make more balanced matches. I see this a lot. One or two folks on each team dealing the majority of the damage, at least x2 or x3 as much as everyone else.

There has to be a better way.

He is posting how L33T he thinks he is. These games are what happens when a bad plan is followed by everyone. Nusually the high score is the seed of said plan.

I have been on plenty of **** teams with outstanding players and lost. I have also been on teams with people that are new or just testing crazy builds and damn near ran the table. War is hell and all combat takes place at night, during a thunderstorm, at the junction of four mapsheets.

Yea, not really too sure here... Your Eee Ell Ohh must be too high. Or in your quest to get the most damage possible you were just tunnel visioning? I've had matches where I get into the 'zone' and all of a sudden tab and see the rest of the team has folded. Of course, I've also had matches where my lance mates have nuked one another, putting us down three mechs, and our pugs and myself still ruled the map. ... ... ... Maybe it's just that the game doesn't like you?

I have to admit I would like to be placed in a team with equal skill as I have, facing opponents with equal skill.
I dont say my ELO is hgh, I just want to have 23 other people in the match with similar ELOs.

Don't like the matchmaker at all, even doing 4-7 kills and losing is damn frustrating. Looking at the table in the end and seeing 5-12 of 24 mechs doing less than 100 dmg makes me ragequit to desktop.

Yeah I don't really agree. It probably could still use some fine tuning. But some of those matches ended decently close. Clearly your superior piloting skill was supposed to make up for the others. :P

Especially when that Elo only tracks whether or not your were on the winning team ,not how well you actually did.

You actually decided it was good to show an 11/12 gae, where the enemy won by a single kill?

Get better and stop blaming the matchmaking for your failures.

A 'Skill'-Rating that's based on a few more variables than winning or loosing a match would certainly help.
Currently, the matchmaking is the weakest aspect of MWO.
