I'm Lyra.

Was looking for a place to say hi and this looked like the best spot. Kinda forcing myself as i'm usually super shy...sooo...yeah.

Used to plan tons of MW2-3-4 but the whole MMO feel turned me off to MWO for a long while but, the Kintaro art is so amazing and running solo megamek campaigns from MekHQ was getting kinda old so.. here I am?

Usually enjoy playing Northwind Highlanders, MoC and recently getting into playing Marshigama's Legionnaires so I figured Liao was the place for me. Usually enjoy playing lights or mediums, the few heavies I enjoy never seem to make it into games...poor poor Flashman...haha

Anyways yeah before I make myself look like more of a dork just wanted to say hey everyone!

i know what you mean, i personally enjoy piloting mediums more then any other type of mech they're more versatile, and deffinately serve a more capable purpose now with 12 v 12, im betting we'll see even more when the dropweight limits come out. have you found a team to drop with?

Nope not yet, just been playing a bit this morning so like 4 hours? Testing out the Raven and the CDA...tried the catapult once it was disasterous. >_<.

why don't we give her a clear picture of what house liao is instead of you acting like we're one big happy family?

ok miss Lyra, you presently have three choices as far as who in house liao to drop with,

firstly you have the word of lowtax, who are comprised of a offshoot from the popular goon swarm from games like E.V.E. and a few others, they like to "stomp around in big stompy robots and blow stuff up"

then you have the CCAF, they're individually not bad peoples, some are even awesome people, but like any unit out there there are a few rotten eggs, the thing is with the ccaf the rott is on top, where as in most others the rott is cut off but in a roleplayer's sense they are spot on the way they should be, overbearing out of control insane leadership, secret police owned by said leadership, propaganda to mislead the citizenry, and isolated from the rest of the mechwarrior community.

and finally you have st ives, think CCAF without all the fat, they're still house liao, but they're not so isolated with their neighbors and they are ruled if you can say that by a house of elected ministers, not some nut on a control trip, not naming any names or any certain units here that statement is sadly true for a number of mechwarrior online units, but mostly si ives seem to just enjoy drops while still maintaining some of their identity as being capellans they are just your more open minded kind. and they also enjoy friendly relations with the word of lowtax. im certain they wish they had better relations with the CCAF but with all the assasination attempts and such made by certain individuals i somehow doubt friendly terms being found at some point in the near future. XD

so there you have it, these three groups each have their own modes of communication which can be found stickied at the top of the forums, have a pleasant day,

Cool thanks Longwei and everyone! I'll jump on the site a bit later. Right now deciding on if I want to get a Raven 3L a HBK-SP or both and have no money to customize... ~_~

The House Liao CCAF community is the only Mechwarrior/Battletech community, that is without a doubt the only MW/BT community that can say without reservation, it is all about the whole entire MW/BT Community, period.

The CCAF is also the MW/BT community that has been around longer than most games last and spans 3 plus decades of online MW/BT gaming across many genres, platforms, developers and website community supporters.

Many have tried to replicate the House Liaos - CCAF history and MW/BT community allegiances, but cheap selfish replicas never succeed. Much like the Saturn!

So while the rest are busy, sowing seeds of destruction and misdeed, attempting to railroad our beloved MWO DEVS , who are working hard to resurrect our beloved Mechwarrior - Battletech ISP.....

Both mechs are great choices. For two different reasons. Enjoy them both. If you need assistance, we have pilots who excel in piloting both, who I am sure would love to share their tactics and load outs with you.

Yay. I added Some of you on MWO in game I think I did it right anyway might be eaiser to talk there than spamming posts I jumped in TS as well but got so used to the mic on my laptop that I forgot I don't have one for desktop xD I'll have to get one but I can listen in and type back. Just don't want to go all jumpin into anyones private time so I'll join up with whoever wants to play with me some tonnight

who said anything about railroading the devs we love this game, and everything that the devs have done, taking part in a summit and talks is not an act of wanton destruction, placing puppets in control of the units of your house and reducing the rank of their commander's from colonels and majors to recruit just because they aren't forum hounds is by the very definition self destructive, and you can claim whatever you like on your forums there buddy, the fact is you have made no effort to reach out to anyone except to spy on them, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting different results, so how long are you going to follow the instructions on the shampoo bottle before you realize you've wash the hair completely out of your head?

I'm a MtF, stopped before the last "op" for a few reasons. I say "Third-Gender" It just sounds cooler, more refined/classy than alot of the X-Rated kind of words that get used so much. Why is that important? Keep reading I'm building suspence remember?

Always got a horrible reception online in games...LoL, GW2...I don't even remember anymore.

Bored of Megamek, decided to find a new game...MWO's sat on my comp for like MONTHS...finally I'm like ok gotta break out of my norm gotta get unshy gotta...do this...get on play some games actually have fun like I used to back in MW4 even tho I am so bad again Decide to join House Liao why not? Got kinda courious and decided to search for LGBT....
