Just something I came up with messing around in mechlab. I wanted to make the thing as asymmetrical as possible and also streamline a 'frankenmech' concept. It's actually pretty fun to play, and as a bonus, has no weapon-linking heat penalties!

CPLT-K2
Left Arm: (ER)PPC
Right Arm: Large Laser
Right Torso: AC20 (3 tons ammo)
STD 250, 400 Armor (I don't distribute properly on smurfy, just keep the total the proper number)
Endo-Steel, DHS

Stylistically it's designed to irritate those who need a balanced look, and the weapon-type hardpoint art makes it distinct. Between the PPC and LL it doesn't do terrible at mid-long ranges, and the AC20 gives it good close-in punch.

It's not an elegant mech, to look at or play, but I thoroughly enjoy running it and wanted to share with my fellow mechwarriors.

2xLLAS+2xMLAS+AC20 will pack a better alphastrike, and it has a backup in case the ears come off and/or ammo runs out. Also, you never want any ammo in any torso if you can help it.

If I may; exchange the Ac20 for a Gauss. 2 tons of ammo will still give you 20 shots vs the 21 for AC20 and it runs cooler.

Also unless you are Peter Parker, move some armor to the back.

Just my .02

i like it, i could never play it, but if it works for you, great.

there's 2 things i would change. the first would be to move the ammo to the head, CT and legs. head because it gets used first, and if your take enough damage to cook off ammo in the head you're dead anyways, i usually put my AMS ammo in the head. CT because it gets used after the head ammo, and again, if you take enough damage to the CT to cook off the ammo, you're probably dead anyways. the side torsos on Catapults are small, but i never put any ammo in them if i can avoid it, hurts your zombie potential.

2nd, add some back armor, you don't need a ton, but you want to have at least 11 points there

Did an optimization run on the loadout, with advice from this thread:

Wanted to retain the asymmetrical "Snaggletooth" asthetic, so it still suffers from frankenmech syndrome but adds firepower and speed at the cost of an expensive and vulnerable XL engine.

CPLT-K2
Left Arm: (ER)PPC
Right Arm: Large Laser
Right Side: Gauss Rifle (3 tons ammo), Medium Laser
Left Side: Medium Laser
XL 280, 416 Armor (I allocated it more realistically, this time)
Endo-Steel, DHS

I played my K2 alot as you can see. I developed some extremely effective builds and I did use the cookie-cutter for a while. Sadly my K2 and C1 were sold to make room for my new firebrand and victors. They will be missed and eventually rebought and revamped. Now go on with this wonderful knowledge and create something beautiful and deadly.

You missed the point. Only the two I've quoted actually have the Asymmetrical "Snaggletooth" look, and they lack the single arm PPC to further throw off any symmetry. I didn't make Snaggletooth to be a "Good" mech, I made it to be an "Ugly" mech.
