Hey there,

First time it happened on Terra Therma while piloting my Fang. I fell off the central pit and walked down one of that stony lava river. Normally, the stones surrounding that river aren't a problem for that mech, It easily can climb them. But in that match something weird happend. My Fang got stuck on every single stone, not able to get out of that river. Eventually i got out of it somehow, but after that even in nearly flat surface my Fang continued to get stuck, like there were some kind of invisible obstacles. Sometimes it stopped me completely, most of the time i was doing like ~35 kph (95kph is max). My ping was on its normal 100-120ms and the enemy had no problem hitting/killing me, so i think that wasn't some kind of crazy lag.

today i encountered that problem the second time while piloting my Awesome 9M on River City Night. First of all, no ping issues and the enemy was still able to hit and kill me. When it first happened, I was on full throttle (83,5 kph) running against a very low ledge (lower city, between theta island ramp and the large buildings, coming from the water) that i normally would climb easily. But i got stuck every single time i tried to climb it until i found a ramp that got me finally up that ledge. After that, i walked through an alley between 2 of those largest buildings (not one of that very small alleys, one that 2 assaults easily can pass through). Gotten through, i got stuck on a flat street, but there wasn't any obstacle. i walked back and tried to get around it, when my mech started teleporting back and forth with no reason. I even got stuck on one of that super small rocks in the water after that. It was like every mini-obstacle (that wouldn't stop any mech) was stopping me. Walking back into the city, i found out that the buildings i saw didn't match their actual, let's call it,"Hitbox". So i saw the corner of a building, but the actual hitbox of that corner was displaced by, let's say ~5-10 meters. That happend with every obstacle on the map, making it impossible for me to maneuver my mech. Anyways, my hit detection still worked (i shot off a shoulder of an atlas far away with PPCs).

The problem is definitely different from those caused by little (intentionally-)invisible/visible obstacles that are too high to walk over or some map bugs.

In conclusion i would say that the "hitboxes" of all world objects were invisibly displaced or my game desynched the position of my mech (only for myself). That happened only 2 times in my case since last patch (i think i played about 60-70 matches since the first occurrence).

Edit: Okay it happend the third time, Terra Therma // Awesome-9M
I spawned right in front of a crate (someone else mentioned something similar in another thread) and after that, it was again like my mech was displaced (or the map). Every hill i went down slowed me periodically to about 50-75% speed (like there was some kind of collision-detection that kicked in and out), my turning speed was dramatically reduced a lot of times and i was unable to walk over a few bridges (invisible wall) although my teammates were. Maybe the problem is related to the drop-position? Maybe the game "displaces" you for the whole match when you spawn partially in an obstacle?

Edit: Seems like it's the same problem that Kiu and gaSyeraSS mentioned in the map collision thread (but it's not Terra Therma related only, like my post proves).
Maybe this post is better placed in that stuck/collision thread, sorry for that!

Anyone else encountered something similar?

Happens to me too, but only on that map and when I spawn in that spot. Did you send a support ticket?

These issues should have been hotfixed by now. I used to make maps for CS, Unreal, and a few others. One 8 hour day is plenty of time to wipe out/fix invisible textures, which, are used too often to hide sloppy work.
