Hey, last time I had a teamkill happen I apologized. Still think it was his own fault for dashing in front of the assault mech who had AC/s blazing though. The split-second between click and fire on the AC/20 is just long enough for a catapult to step the wrong way into the line of fire.

Agreed. There are times, especially in a packed Forest Colony battle, when I have to cross in front of a friendly to get where I need to be. I always wince, try to time my passing, hope I'm not messing up their perfect shot, and understand that if they hit me it's my fault, not theirs.

I had two matches tonight that wasted precious time and friendlies because someone fired into someone's back and that someone had to kill them for it. Not before the deceased tore the hell out of the aggrieved. We lost both matches (no surprise there). I know it's frustrating when it happens, but I wish people would be the bigger mechwarrior and not lame everyone else's game when they get shot in the back.

That said, I don't know where I stand in the elo mystery ranking system, but after a night of bad games I always know when I've slid down a bracket by how many joyfires I see at the start of the game. I watch my teammates dump not only energy but precious ammo into the ground, canyon walls, and sky and think, "Oh, yeah. This is gonna suck." I'm rarely wrong.

I think half the reason it's hard to put together a plan at the beginning of a PUG match is because everyone is too busy trying to get out of the way of whatever mech is behind them before it cores-out their backside.

There's a training ground to set up your weapons, and no one cares enough about your loadout to watch what kind of beams you shoot the dirt with and figure it out (unless you're in a light showing the LRM-equipped players your TAG). Joyfire is a rookie clown-move that will, sooner or later (no matter how careful you say you are) end up hitting a teammate. Save it for the enemy.

Luckily I've never team killed anyone, yet. I realize it's always possible, and I do try and be careful with my situational awareness. But, I have hit and been hit by friendly fire before. It's pretty obvious when it's an accident, and I'll type "sorry" if I can. If it's too hectic right then, then no I don't.

I've been both the light mech buzzing through the furball that's been hit by FF, and I've been the heavy that hit a light with FF that buzzed through the furball. Imho, it's the light's fault (myself included) for buzzing through the furball in the first place. Running between 2 mechs that are slugging it out is about the most dangerous place to be.

What I don't get is the friendly heavy or assault that just walks right in front of you and stands there between you and the mech you're shooting at. I'm so tempted to give them an alpha in the back sometimes... Sigh. But I stop, move over and try to reengage again.

And I can always tell how bad the match is going to be by how many of my own team mates go crazy with weapons fire at the drop point. The more they "test fire", the faster we're gonna get rolled it seems.

Finally had my first team kill today. A crazy Nova charged into our battle formation and when I tried to whack him with my dual PPC Panther, my shot went past him (not really sure how though; through his legs maybe?) into a teammate, killing him instantly.

I did manage to destroy that Nova on the next shot, but I'm sorry I missed. It was a good fight, and we won, but you should have had more time... #neverforget

have to apologize for getting team killed. yes i put myself in a place to get TK. in the caldera on caustic. just started using the enforcer, end of game no armor left but all the pieces were still there. last 2 or 3 reds left. a badly banged up cplt and a crab and maybe a lite. so i JJed in and shot at the cplt blew a leg off noticed the crab was right there, and i mean right there! went to jj away, well my heat had betty screaming at me so i shutdown and drop right into the arms of this crab. just as my team crests the hill and nails this crab. with me shutdown in his arms. guy apologized for shooting me but it was not his fault and i told him so. this kind of stuff happens.

Apologies to Spokinator who ran across my sites while I was shooting at a Crab, well I say he ran across my sites, he actually stopped and I adjusted my sites to fire behind him and err, only at the same time I made adjustment Spokinator went and stopped and it was good night Vienna.

Happens after 3:45 mark

#1 I don't believe you're a guy "Fat Amy" Cmon man!...jokes I kid I kid.

#2 TK happens, why are you so concerned about it that you had to come on the forums and apologize? FF happens and unless you were drilling the person with fire throughout the match they probably forgot about you, certainly before the next match began.
