I admit I did not think it would get to $100k.

But I knew it would do well. This is an older crowd. Many of us have kids. Almost all of us were touched by the story.

Am I the only person who sat on the webpage and refreshed it that first day or to watching the numbers go up in real time and smiling? (and then was refreshing it every couple of hours over the weekend....)


Might I also suggest that the 23rd be a free premium day(or +50%XP/CB) for everyone in celebration...

On my behalf, The money going to Cancer Society was secondary.
It for me was memorializing those who have passed on and devastated those left behind.
So, Two things.
One, At some future date I would like to be able to put a custom decal on it with the childs name of a coworker/friend, who passed on late last year.
Two, I would have purchased this mech at as much as $25(maybe 30).
So keep these two things in mind if (heaven forbid it) the community decides this is something we should do again.

On a brighter note, I am smiling over the thought of a day of Lights versus The World.
Community has been asking for that for a long time now,
and it looks like on the 23^rd it will happen.

I don't really like Light Mechs. They are not my style. That being said, I have yet to fail to giggle and laugh every Drop in Sara's Jenner.

On a side note, only thing I can think of that would be better, is keeping this sale going longer, or not even stopping the sale! (Okay, maybe stopping the sale after a week of no buys or something...)

I was checking it like every 20 minutes for the first half of the day and watched it shoot from 16k - 50k! Felt like i was rooting for it to go higher! $100k though, amazing work everyone and for such a great cause!!!

August 23rd should be an event. I want to see "Sarah Parries Memorial Day Event" plastered across the home page, the launcher, the mech lab, everywhere. Let this day be the day we all honor her memory together.

I'm gonna ask my unit to run only 12-man Sarah teams on the 23rd. It should rock. And we should ALL get as much video, and someone who's good at video stuff should put together a massive compilation of Sarah battle!
