The Community Warfare... between ourselves is far more "productive" than the one that PGI is giving us to envision.

I'm here to end up on Huntress as I wrote Joe did for the BattleCorps FanFic.

I'm not even sure there will people to care about it... even if we get to the point that it actually happens.

So it's going to take you 2 weeks to get the most expensive and heaviest mech in the game? The end game equipment?

I suppose they ran out "gee thanks" gas.

Here is the thing. They offer Assault mechs as trial mechs that a brand new player never having played a match can use and they aren't always stock mechs either, case in point the previous Atlas RS champion version which actually performed exceedingly well.

The point here is that Mechs aren't end game items, none of them Sure some cost a bit more but you have access to all of them from day one. This isn't like WoTs where you have to unlock the best tanks through earning XP either.

That being said, I am unemployed right now and play alot more than the average player. I also run premium and have hero mechs. Then with all that going on, it taking me 5-10 days to earn enough to buy one single mech is kind of ridiculous....no not kind of, DEFINATELY ridiculous.

Right now I want to finish off the Atlases, try out Hunchbacks and JagerMechs, test out at least one variant of the Kintaro and maybe start on Centurions. I also want to buy a couple different XL engines to try out on several of my existing mechs and perhaps finish off my Stalkers of which I only have one. Additionally I am pretty sure the Orion will be comming out at release, maybe even multiple new mechs and in Oct I get 12 new shinny mechs, all of which will be needing money to upgrade to DHS and Endosteel, plus many will need Artemis, XLs and additonal weapons I don't have stockpiled.

I estimate this will cost me roughly 150+ million C-bills to aquire all this. I have a 2 month window. Even with the old rewards, I probably wouldn't be able to accomplish this in 2 months. With the new rewards, no way in hell I will even be close. 150 million will take me roughly 300 hours of game play by my best guess, vs 150 hours prior to the change.

Yeah I have to admit that when I heard about this game, I was hoping for alot more RPG aspects to it, maybe some sort of Grand Campagin mode that simulated the Clan Invasion. However that isn't what we go and I don't think we ever will have it either.

Yet another rant. I bought an Altas DDC just before the patch with the intention of finally purchasing my three variants and mastering them out. Now, almost one week after the patch I have managed to say up ONLY 8.2 mil C-bills. At this rate it will be the middile of the week before I can even aquire my second Atlas. On top of that, we have the Kintaro coming out just around the corner which I want to be able to buy and outfit at least one variant upon release. So anyway, I am sitting here trying to figure out what to do. 1 - Keep saving up for that Atlas that I won't be able to aquire until maybe tomorrow or Wensday, take another week and a half to get the third variant and not have enough for my Kintaro when it comes out. 2 - Forget unlocking the Altas totally because it is just too darn expensive to unlock all three (at my pace I am looking at 3 weeks of playing before I can get all three). Then look at another cheaper mech I want to try out so I can at least NOT be bored with zero progression going on. 3 - Sit paralyzed by indecision and bored like I am now because I can't afford to do any of the things I want to do even with premium and hero mechs. The point of this....Just a rant that I fricken hate making 1/2 of what I used to be able to do because of the nerf to C-bills and increased match times. The whole damn situation is just frustrating me to no end and I am not even having fun right now. The Grind is just painful now. I am sitting on needing 18 million credits right now just to get the the XL engine I want to test in my mech, plus two chassis not including anything upcomming. Averaging 100k per match isn't cutting it. Please re-evaluate things and give us a patch tomorrow that gets us back to what we were making pre-patch, I just can't take it any more.

Just don't give in and purchase Assaults with MC. You are playing right into "their" hands.

Oh hell no!!!

No clue why anyone would purchase C-bill mechs with MC. I would much rather buy Hero Mechs and premium time with my money.

Maybe that is their problem. Maybe they were thinking that purchasing mechs with MC was going to be their main source of revenue and it flopped on them so now they are hoping they will encourage this practice.

It they want to make more money, it is simple. Reduce the damn costs on everything. $5 for a single color is just silly. .50 cents, yeah thats more like it....I will take 10 colors please.$40 for a hero mech...not so much. $10-$15 each and I will likely buy one of each. $7 for a camo pattern I can reuse....Not happening. $1 and I will buy all of them for each of my favorite mechs.

One word....MICROTRANSACTION!!!

Micro means small. $5-$40 isn't small. Get us to empty our pockets, not our wallets and it is a win, win for everyone.

Please no.

Those "Official" thread are a very good way of "hiding" this issue.

For one, no one reads through all 500 posts so discussion of anything pretty much disappears. For two, having 4-5 new threads up on the front page every day all complaining about the same thing is much more noticable than tiny little thread. Third, alot of times new ideas come from new threads on the same subject and need to be discussed independantly of the old ideas (see point one for why a consolidate thread is a bad idea).

Absolutely fricken hate when Moderators jump in and hide the issues like this and start locking threads.

i just played a full 15minute game in a CN9-A where I had 3 kills 3 assists and ~275 damage. 90k without premium. rofl

In a spider 5k i made about 75k or so. Its gonna take a long time to get an xl engine at that rate.

So 1-2 weeks to buy the most expensive mech in the game? Sounds pretty fair to me.

Try some other MMO's were you can grind everyday for months on end and still not get the piece of gear you are looking for.

This game is so damn easy on its users I really don't get were all the whining is coming from.

If I had the reins it would take you three-four months to buy and master your 3 Atlas's. That would help solve: "Assault warrior online."

Why cant someone just make a MW5??

Id pay $50 for a nice game with good online play, allowing me to buy ANY freaking mech i want, customize it ANY way i want, where it wont have to cost me ANY more money to do it.

I came back after 5 months hoping they would improve on this game. But no, i dont see any major improvement, instead of working out on balancing, bugs, good maps and ways to make the game more enjoyable, they are just coming up with more "hero mechs" "phenoix set" "paint jobs" and all of them cost money!

All they want is our money and they dont give a hoots about those who arent born with a silver spoon. As long as there are loaded guys spending thousands on this game, they will never ever learn.

2 weeks to get a new mech? 6 weeks to unlock elite skills?? Youre saying its all right? You gotta be kidding me. MW mercs would allow me to unlock almost any mech in a day, play with any mech online forever..

It would solve all your balance problems, because nobody would be playing your game any more. Viktor has already said that he's currently unemployed and spends a lot of time with the game, those people who can play 5 - 6 games a night would have to spend months of grinding to get to the same point. Those people are not going to be bothered with that, and will stop playing very quickly.

As the game stands earning C-Bills and buying mechs is the only kind of progression there is, take that away and a boring grindfest becomes a boring pointless grindfest. Nobody wants that.

Except you, apparently.

It's really tough to make CBills now especially because I like to keep my mechs equipped with engines rather than switching them around. I will be buying fewer mechs and fewer mech bays. I already own 21 and there is enough variety for me. I can see how this would help them sell premium time and hero mechs. It just won't be to me.

I used to make ~100-180k per match, now it's down to 70-150k.

If I run a hero mech I am pulling in ~100-180k per match, win or loss. My perception is that I am making more on losses right now if I am contributing to the effort. The other thing that I noticed is that I make more on Conquest maps because of the resource bonus.

I wonder how many people complaining about the loss of income are exclusively playing Assault and the being effected harder than those who play both types of games?
