Stuff like this may be one of the reasons PGI does not communicate with us as much as they should. Why bother explaining what went wrong and why if people are just going to insult you.

There's a difference between providing valid, helpful criticism and just being a jackass.

Calling a group of people 'dangerously incompetent' after they admit to, address, and apologize for a simple error is very much the latter.

OK guess I have to explain it to you ,there is nothing wrong with criticizing the game ,we need to point out the problems in it so they can fix them, the problem is when people like you insult the developers instead of trying to communicate in a respectful manner is why I think they don't talk with us as much as they should. Someone came forward and admitted they screwed up and that the problem was being fixed but all you could do in spit in their face.

Yeah it's sad how one person can ruin it. But Kevin is a bigger man and can easily look over top of such small people :unsure:

Don´t mind Thunderklaws. I cannot tell you why, but his last 5-7 responses I read on this forum are nothing than bitching.

No criticism, no specific point he tries to make, just plain bitching. Like in "Everything sucks"

While I have my share of grudges with PGI and how they handle this game I am not above admitting and appreciating it -when- they do something right. Like admit that there is a problem, say sorry and remove the problem. Like Kevin just did. That doesn´t mean everything is fine. Far from that. But in this specific instance PGI (or maybe only Kevin) did something right. And if it should be the one and only time they did I will still concede it was right.

That was funny, but surprisingly true. It's that attitude we need here, it's always nice hearing directly from programmers/designers and getting a direct objective response, instead of politician talk, stuff that do nothing.

This thread saved my life

After reading it I got that dropped spot 2 maps later! I couldn't move and realised what was going on and backed up and was free.
