How Would You Get New Players To Pick Your Faction?

However, that will be the case with a lot of new players. The ones who have just downloaded the game and have yet to jump into the cockpit, how will you woo them to your side?
I don't mean something as simple as Davion is great! Steiner for the win! or any other cheerleader type motifs. What arguments will you use to prove your House is the way to go?
I know a little about the BT universe, but the novels seemed to be very pro-Steiner and from a mercenary viewpoint. Okay, I only remember the first three Grey Death Legion novels and one about the Black Thorns. But there might be new players who don't even have that much background.
How will you convince them?

*Plops a bag down. The side of the bag reads MWO Forums. Digs through it.*
Ah, here it is. Videos with the basic story in terms of the factions and why they fight.
Shorthand. Fast, fewer details.
Long hand. Slower, lots of details, two vids long. First covers the Inner Sphere, second covers the invading "Clans."
There's also maps that give you the gist. "Space cowboys." "Space Vikings." "Space communists."
Beyond that, I'd use the benefits of each group. But we won't know that until after Community Warfare begins, weapon variants begin to appear, and who gets what discounts come through. Note: All of the following is extracted through ATD responses, with examples provided by Sarna's compilation of Battletech (MW) lore. PGI is known for changing things to suit their purposes. Otherwise many of the mechs we have (Cataphracts, Quickdraw, Atlas K, Centurions, Jagermechs, Blackjacks and Stalkers) would have the ability to shoot backwards via rear-mounted weapons and "Arm Flip."
The different factions are supposed to have an easier time getting faction-specific mechs, and various parts while Mercs are supposed to have an easier time getting money in the long run (offset by means unknown; guessing everything gets more expensive too, who knows?)
For example, Liao would have a much easier time getting Ravens.
The Draconis Combine (Kurita) would in theory have cheaper access to the Magna 260 and Pitban 320 Standard engines as well as Herms 300 XL, Vlar 300 and 400 XL engines than other groups, as well as the Atlas K and the Catapult CPT C3 artillery platform battlemech as these are manufactured within their space for their forces by Yori 'Mech Works.

For me at least remaining as a Lone Wolf works as you help others as time goes on.
Soon I will find Arc-Royal as my new home, but not yet for me.

Sounds cynical, but its the sad truth, its an issue with pvp factions in every platform i've played in, its so bad in Aion that they closed one faction for awhile, and now are giving big bonuses to try get people to play the other faction.
once clan mech are available houses will shed like the family pet in springtime, and most new players will go clan if its made an instant option, so they can have the bestest.
only returning old players who will mostly have a favourite house is there much change to sway folks..
people new and without a clue of the 'canon' will go with the winning side with the best mechs, its sad human nature, for 80% of humanity
love the beer though, it that doesn't work what is..

However, come 3055 and I might Switch to Davion, because Katherine is a *****.

Well, not really. I guess I'll be with Steiner for the rest of my MWO-life.
