So, I know that new maps can get the whole weighted thing so people can test them. I get that, the devs need to generate a heatmap rapidly and get feedback so they can revise and move on.

but you know, Tourmaline is still far and away running away with my drop count. Canyon network has surpassed Caustic for me by like 20 matches. Terra therma I have 12 drops on, but it does not feel as though it is weighted like the others have been.
Forest Colony 179 Frozen City 190 Caustic Valley 144 River City 150 Forest Colony Snow 156 Frozen City Night 161 River City Night 171 Alpine Peaks 216 Tourmaline Desert 287 Canyon Network 165 Terra Therma

I really like to play on Caustic. Especially with the new textures they added. But i do not get to. My drop rate on Alpine seems to have fallen way off, which is a shame because IMO 12v12 really helped that map, the matches have been a lot better there. This is after a MAD rush to catch up and stay ahead in roughly the month prior to the 12 vs 12 patch, in between Canyon release and the last patch.

I seem to recall there was a time where players were simply removing maps from their game file so they wouldnt drop in them. I have this feeling there is a LOT of people that still have this going on, and it affects people like me who end up running on tourmaline over and over again because the PPC/Gauss crowd likes that map best. (this is obviously speculation).

If for some reason PGI has the maps weighted like this on purpose, I guess I would ask for an official response as to how and why- if there is some kind of testing reason it would benefit PGI to tell us what it is so we can provide feedback accordingly.

if not, then i would ask PGI to please investigate why a supposedly random drop selection is putting me on some maps literally twice as often as others.

Variety is the spice of life.
