This thread may get squashed because I am going to talk around the topic of <SELF-REDACTED>...but it needs to be discussed.

We all know there are some hit detection issues in the game. They are working on fixing it. I can deal with that. What is getting curiouser and curiouser is how some mechs seem to ignore damage and the pilot *behavior* makes no sense unless there is some type of <SELF-REDACTED> going on.

My last two matches provide some interesting observations (and before you think this is just sour grapes, they were fairly good matches(not too lopsided), I was high-score on both(not bragging, just data to indicate I wasn't mad because I did poorly), we won one and lost one).

First was a nearly pristine HGN I got behind on Forest City. He was in hot pursuit of a Catapult. I shot him in the right arm twice with 50 pts of damage. He didn't care. I then positioned to his rear. From about 100m directly behind him (minimal lateral motion) I fired 5 shots..35, 15, 20, 15, 35 pt damage shots into his rear CT. His rear CT armor appeared to disappear on the first shot but he didn't even respond and ignored me until the Cat was down. He was eventually killed but it was like he had "extra" armor....and his behavior seemed to indicate he *knew* it.

Second, was a Cicada I observed another pilot engaging on River City Night. The CDA was legged so moving very slowly. I saw 2 sets of 2xPPC shots put into an already armorless CT to no effect.

It may be hit detection...or could it be <SELF-REDACTED>?. In either case, PGI needs to look into it and fix it. If someone has figured out how to <SELF-REDACTED> armor or internal values it needs to be stopped.

Then again, maybe I am just too paranoid. Anyone else seeing amazing stuff like this that doesn't neatly fit into the "hit detection problem" narrative?

Its the non existant hit detection.
Example:
Me in a stalker with 2 erppc and 4 srm6, enemy in a cent with 2 med lasers
We where not moving and now guess who won.

The cent.

He shred me to pieces with his 2 med lasers while i did almost no damage to him.
