The current reset of the game mode after every client start is extremely annoying.

I'm don't have this problem and no one I have dropped with has it either. Have you tried the repair tool or perhaps uninstalling and reinstalling the game. Worked to fix problems like that back at the start of closed invite only beta.

It has always been this way, even after a repair. Just to make sure we talk about the same thing here, when the game starts the game mode always is set to ANY for me.
