If you like the Jenner then yes, the X5 is great, however think of the Cicada as a light not a medium, very fast but less firepower/armor, it is a harrassor or point capturer, I have the X5 and throughly enjoy using it however it is not a massive cbill earner.

Oh man! I really hope the mini/mech statues are offered on sale again in the near future. Bad timing for me and not having any disposable cash funds to take advantage of the sale.

Not really interested in either.

But, if you want to get people to open their wallets here is one:

Start rolling out hero mechs, one per chassis, with an ECM slot. They wouldn't have to be incredibly potent on the rest of the hardware. In fact, it would probably be best if they had a typical mix of hardpoints.

less firepower... obviously you have not come across the mech that gives new meaning to min/maxing. The AC40 Cicada.

I finally succumbed and picked up the X-5 last night (well, early this morning I guess.) It's a great ride, a far cry from my lumbering K2 Cat in terms of speed and nimbleness. I've modded it up a bit, but I'm still getting used to it, so I tend to wind up shredded before I can do much (I'm still very much a n00b, been playing less than a week.) I've seen it in the hands of truly skilled pilots and it can really perform. Stick-and-move is very much the name of the game with this one, but it can harass the bejeebus out of the bigger mechs.
