I open the game.
I click play.
I alt tab to do things while your game takes FOREVER to load ( a few seconds).
Now, despite the MWO window being in the background, my mouse can only be moved within the coordinates which said window occupies, being thereto restrained. I am forced to alt tab, then alt tab again to return to what I was doing.
DO NOT STEAL CONTROL OF THE MOUSE. THE WINDOW IS IN THE BACKGROUND.
IT DOES NOT HAVE THE RIGHT.
You are insane if you disagree. No other applications do this. Fix it.
The end.
(just kidding, this will never be fixed, because idiocy never completes itself, merely sprawls infinitely into all directions, polluting the universe and strangling all the life that's left from it like the greed of ensnaring garden vines.)

nb4 pgi fanbois, oh, too late.
Somehow I sincerely doubt that the client hijacking the mouse is going to be fixed with UI 2.0. Just like I doubt PGI will ever fix the spider hitbox, ever get weapon balance figured out, ever realize that Cryengine 3 was a horrible engine to build a game with, will ever remove the arbitrary speed cap and will make it so if the group leader disconnects from a game, it doesn't drag me out with him.
Yeah I'm sure UI 2.0 will be working as intended, that is to say, not at all.

The cursor stays within the box atm, UI 2.0 will be fullscreen. Do I need to explain the rest lol?

And you know this because you have UI 2.0 or do you just think this because PGI said it.
Case and point: 3PV, do I need to explain the rest to you?
ETA: I'm not saying it won't be fullscreen, but color me dubious

I hope UI2.0 is fullscreen... and that the mechbay has super awesome ambient sounds.

Yeh I have the same problem. Alt tab and then the game does not lock the cursor to the client when you return. Leads to a lot of fun click to shoot but instead minimize because the cursor is floating on a second monitor. Actually I should state this is what happens on dual displays. client on one, other info on the second. alt tab and then return, cursor is in game but also is moving int he background. So click and bam it minimizes and opens something on the second screen where windows was seeing the cursor.
