This rant you are about to read is just that. Me sharing my personal feelings about the game and seeing if there is anyone else that shares my concerns. I have been playing this game since October of last year. When I first started to play I thought this was the greatest game EVER!! It revived the inner child in me and brought me back to the days of MW, MW2 and Mercenaries. At first I was reluctant to cough up any cash for this game because I was skeptical of what that money would buy me.
However, I built a rig. $900 dollars later I was Even more impressed with games graphics and physics. I was still having fun with it. Then sometime around June or July things started to change for me. I hit a KDR of about 1.2 (not very high) and patches seemed to increase drastically and changed the game every week. New mechs constantly being released but no new weapons. Weapons characteristics are constantly being changed without any consideration as to what effect it may have (i.e. making other weapons OP, LRMs once kept long range weapons like ERPPC's ad Gauss in check). Matches seemed to be incredibly out of balance. Regardless of a players skill level a mechs weight class and load out are a stronger factor. An entire lance of light mechs, noob or pro, will ruin your day.
Despite all this I still bought into the Overlord Phoenix package and a few hero mechs. I did all this in hopes that maybe you guys would turn things around and start listening to to some one else other than Call of Duty hacks who only care about the mighty alpha and number of kills. I thought this game was dubbed the "thinking mans" shooter game. That name seems to have been given a little too soon. Despite my efforts to use all the weapons at my disposal, make builds that maximize damage while maintaining heat efficiency and using smart tactics in the field. It always seems like its the Alpha builds that fire, shut down, override, fire, shut down, override etc. That win the day. This game is turning into Call of Duty and Im beginning to regret all the money I spent on it. Never again am I spending money on this game.

To be honest I don't see why people think this game is fun? and want to pay anything for it? My experiences have been terrible the mechs move so slow turning and they die so fast its totally stupid. I tried to get my friends to play they downloaded the game we used the friends drop option and we always end up split up in some stupid random game. So they all said (F) this and went back to playing other games like WOW were we all can go have fun. This game could be fun and I have talked to others that used to play the older MechWarrior titles and read about the games and it must have been a good time. I don't understand why PGI did not make the games like those games were more Competitive, Social and Fun. I tried today again to like this game but it was just crap and no fun dyeing in 2-3 seconds in a mech I should have been able to stay alive much longer and learn something but instead a bunch of mechs rushed us and killed us on the spawn point 1 minute into the game it was so lame. This happened for like 4-5 games I played and I just said (F) this and closed the game down to the desktop.

I've read many complains abot the game and agree with many of them.
Yours is the first where I just think (F) it GoManGo play some WoW.

Why? Nothing is more lame than teammates sticking to the spawnpoint 1 minute after the round begun.
And then getting killed by a light mech within 3 seconds?
The game may be to competitive for you.
