Well...after a week now it's apparent to me there is some sort of cheat system running for some players. I don't mind losing in a fair fight but my goodness...I've seen players go from 56% back up to 85%??? I posted before I wasnt pleased with what I've seen so far...and discouraged. This is NOT the game I played years ago where fairness was common. If you have to cheat to win, whats the point? I've laid out a good bit of cash so far figuring it was a learning curve, but theres not much point agains't these types of odds.

Or is this something everyone knows about but doesnt discuss??

Are you sure it was the same mech and not 2 of them? Never heard of that before. The devs designed the game so that cheating is very difficult to do. If you suspect cheating, please gather what evidence you can, email support@mwomercs.com and be as descriptive as possible with what you saw and what map it was on and what you were piloting and what the other player was piloting and what time it occured. They have tools to follow players around if they get lots of reports on the same one, but if no one emails, they won't know there is a problem.

Odds are that you ran into two of the same variant, perhaps even the same loadout. I haven't seen anyone be able to recover damage.

Thanks for replying JZ...It was the same mech no doubt I just wish I'd have had enough sense to get a couple of screenshots. Serious guys, I didn't make this up.

You can also ask your team if they saw the same thing before the round ends.
The only other thing I can think of that would legitimately explain something like that is some kind of crazy communication error between your computer and the server.

First of all, the % don't matter at all. You can survive with only 25% of your mech left and you can die with 80% left. Secondly, it is extremely unlikely for a cheat like that to exist, since hit detection and damage are calculated server-side, not client-side.
I think you just made a mistake and either mistook a number or simply had another mech of the same type in front of you.

Server miscommunication would also be a possibility. However it remains, most certainly there was no cheating.

Yeah, it's possible your target was on the wrong mech, perhaps one right behind and it switched to the one in front so you thought it was the same mech.

I tend to run twin builds with Lordred quite often so that does happen. We make 'em match in every aspect.
Spoiler

About 98% of the game is server controlled. Everything from your heat build up, to your zoom is controlled on the server side. Health should be, too, and thus couldn't be manipulated by any form of cheating. However since I don't know if it is or not I can only leave it with "should."

If you come across someone, you believe to be cheating, please write a mail to support@mwomercs.com.

If available, please provide the following information in the mail:
- name of player, suspect to cheating
- type of cheat
- map played
- date, time and timezone of the match
- names if witnesses
- screenshots or links to video material

Discussing cheats on the forums will not solve your problem with them. In fact it might even increase it, as it is perfect advertisement. As such, this thread is closed!
